So, you’ve booked your Pack Holiday, you’re looking forward to some fabulous time away and you’ve got your dog all ready for his howliday.
What to plan and what to do?
One of the loveliest aspects of Norfolk is the wealth of dog friendly pubs locally to your cottage. We have no end of fabulously dog welcoming pubs in Norfolk.
You might choose your dog welcoming Pack Holidays cottage based on shortest trip to your dog friendly pub? If so, do let me know! I know all the local dog welcoming establishments and can let you know which ones are nearest to your cottage of choice!

So read on and hopefully you will get some hints and tips for those fabulous places where you can collect a dog treat from the bar, settle in comfort with your pooch and enjoy that glass of wine / pint of beer, knowing your dog Is totally and absolutely welcome!
If you are out exploring your local area and find a lovely place to stop for a pint of a spot of lunch, don’t discount going into your chosen pub if there is no ‘Dogs Welcome’ sign. Many local establishments assume everyone (and their dog) is welcome! So do ask as you may be pleasantly surprised! Do also check when you go in, that water can be given to your dogs. The bar staff often have dog bowls at the ready for you and you might be in luck (or your dog) to be offered a lovely cooked sausage or dog treat whilst waiting for your lunch!
Most places will welcome dogs in the bar, but not in the restaurant. Happily, they all have bars and there are very few places who choose to discriminate against dogs.
I’ve also taken the opportunity to note down local dog friendly pubs by village / location, to make it a bit easier for you to find. Read on and enjoy testing them all out.
If you have any hints, tips and suggestions for your favourite Norfolk dog welcoming pub, do let me know. I’m all ears – waggly and hairy ones!!!
