Heidi Corner, Winterton on Sea
Heidi Corner is a gorgeous and modern semi-detached property just a minutes walk to the entrance to the Winterton dunes. Winterton on Sea is famous for its miles and miles (and miles) of sandy , glorious beaches and dunes, which are all wonderfully dog friendly. The picturesque village of Horsey is just a few miles away via a coastal path walk and that’s where all the beautiful seal colonies congregate, especially in the winter and in more recent years, the colony is spreading along the Winterton beach and dunes too.
There is also a really lovely dog friendly pub nearby in very short walking distance (Fishermans Return), a tea room, Post Office, a fabulous fish and chip shop, and local small store and miles of wonderful beach and dunes to explore.

Please Note:
We pride ourselves on being dog-friendly, allowing you to enjoy a break for the human AND canine family, while you unwind and relax. However, we do want to ensure a pleasant experience for all our guests. Therefore, we kindly ask that you consider our policy regarding dogs.
Here’s how we can make the stay enjoyable for everyone:
If your dog is known to bark a lot, Heidi Corner may not be a suitable setting as we are in a quiet residential area with close neighbours. This peacefulness makes it the perfect spot for stressed humans and worried dogs, but it’s not appropriate for vocal reactive pups.
Heidi Corner welcomes three well behaved dogs, but if you have more please speak to us as we may be able to accommodate them if they are small and quiet.
This holiday is for all of you to enjoy, so please do not leave your dog alone and unsupervised in either the inside or outside spaces. We can provide you with crates if your dog likes to have a safe space, but these are not intended for leaving crated animals alone in the house. If you do need to go out without your dog, please contact us to discuss pet-sitting options in the area.
Please keep your dog(s) under control in the driveway and when loading and unloading. Even though the outside courtyard is quiet and we have no passing traffic, for the safety of all, dogs shouldn’t be given freedom to run loose in this area.
As you prepare to check out from Heidi Corner, please ensure that you’ve cleared any dog poo from the garden and put it in the general waste bin for disposal.
We appreciate your understanding in helping maintain a peaceful environment for all our guests.

Sheryl, Simon, Aiden and the doggies, Ted Crusa and Taylor –
Our first time at Heidi Corner and we had a fantastic stay! The house was immaculate with everything you could need, we really enjoyed the many board games and books provided. The hot tub was amazing and was used alot! The location was ideal for long walks with the doggies who enjoyed the beaches and paddling in the sea. We even got to see some seals either on the beach or bobbing around in the water. Such a quiet and relaxing area, the local shops were great and we enjoyed the fish and chip and tea rooms
All of us had a lovely holiday and would gladly stay again!
Jem, Mark, Lucas and the mutts –

Our second visit to Winterton on Sea, 10 years apart. Heidi Corner is very well equipped and in the best location for walks on the dunes and beach
Our large golden retriever Teddy loved staying here with all the local off lead walks. Very dog friendly area with dogs welcome in many bars and cafes. Thank you
Jayne, Chris and Wren –
Absolutely loved everything. The most dog friendly home and area we have ever stayed in.
So many places to visit – Water Gardens, Sheringham Park, Blickling Estate, Creake Abbey, and we did a boat trip with Ross’ Wildlife Boat Trips, all dog friendly.
Excellent food round the corner at The Fishermans Arms. The local store in the village sells just about everything. As for the house, just perfect.
Had a very small issue but Gail sorted this within 24 hours so all good
As for the beach…WOW WOW WOW and our dog was in heaven
We most definitely will be back
Thank you so much Gail
Love and licks

We have had a fantastic stay here this week. We’ve had mixed weather but that has not stopped us.
We have had the best walks over the dunes and on the beach
Spencer is going to miss his swim every day. We have had trips to Horsey Pump, Bacton Woods, Caister and Gorleston
The Seal View is great for a coffee and cake after a walk. Heidi Corner is the best place we have stayed with a dog. Thank you for the welcome pack and dog treats. We will be booking our return visit
Big hugs from Tracy and Barrie and big licky kisses from Bryn –
The sun didnt stop shining for us this week and made it a perfect mini-break at Heidi Corner. This was the first holiday for our dog and he settled in straight away and absolutely adored te sea!! The cottage is absolutely fantastic, so homely and well equipped that whatever you needed, you could guarantee it was there!
The welcome pack was a nice treat, thank you! The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. We had plenty of walks across the dunes (couldnt believe how close by they were!) and along the beach and also visited Horsey WIndpump with a lovely walk by the water and across the field. We all slept like a log in the comfy beds, even Bryn didnt stir in his dog bed
Winterton itself is a delightful place, people very friendly and lots of dogs, making Bryn a very happy boy.
I was a little hesitant about bringing our puppy to Heidi Corner, but thanks to Gail and her team for making it such a dog friendly home, I neednt have worried at all.

Comfortable, cosy and great to have the robes
Close to so much, including the pub, Poppys and the chippy – all very good! Will miss the numerous strolls on the dunes and the beach, dogs loved it too
Further afield, loads of lovely beaches, Sea Palling, Cart Gap, Happisburgh, Bacton, Mundesley all lovely and recommended
Winterton is a perfect base, as you can just park up and everything is on your doorstep if you want a rest from the car

Heidi Corner is perfect! Thank you for setting it up so it is truly dog friendly and dog secure!
The daily walks have been lovely – a short hop across the dunes to a peaceful, early morning beach. Just us, our dogs and the seals! Winterton itself is intriguing to explore with all its nooks and crannies
We have found a variety of things to do and visits and finished our days happily tired, having had lovely days out. An especial favourite was Ross’ Boat Trip with our dogs. He was entertaining and so informative about the Broads and its wildlife – we loved it!
At the cottage we so appreciated the welcome gifts, so thoughtful thank you!
We forgot our cables so we couldnt use the EV point but there is a fast charge at Hirst Farm Shop and Cafe! Delicious food so it was a good excuse to visit the farm shop
I hope we will come back next year – if not sooner. It was the loveliest holiday Ive had in a long time at Heidi Corner
Deb, Darran, Henry, Isaac (Rodney, Red and Basil) –
Our first stay here and the cottage and area certainly didnt disappoint
The cottage is lovely, comfortable bed, cosy lounge, lovely snuggly dressing gowns and of course the hot tub
Chip shop was great, beach a 5 min walk away which was perfect for our dogs
We didnt sample the pub as our dogs wont settle in the pub but who needs a pub when we can bring our own food and drink! Thanks for a lovely break!
