Marrams View, Winterton on Sea
Marrams View is a lovely 2-bedroom traditional fisherman’s terraced cottage, with perfect positioning overlooking the dunes at Winterton on Sea.
Winterton on Sea is a traditional and pretty fishing village on the Norfolk Coast with a variety of things to do. There is a lovely dog friendly pub (The Fishermans Return), a fabulous fish and chip shop, Poppy’s café, Post Office, shop and Seal View Beachside Grill.
Winterton on Sea is famous for its miles and miles (and miles) of glorious sandy beaches and dunes, which are all wonderfully dog friendly. The picturesque village of Horsey is just a few miles away via a coastal path walk and
that’s where all the beautiful seal colonies congregate, especially in the winter and in more recent years, the colony is spreading along the Winterton beach and dunes too. In the summer there is also a small colony of Terns.
From the cottage back door, you can walk straight onto the dunes and it’s just a 2 minute walk onto the beach.

Reactive Dog Guide
Marrams View is a 2 star Reactive Friendly Pack Holidays cottage. Marrams View is situated in a slightly quieter area of Winterton village (and not directly in the centre of the village). It is in a very small side street so there is less activity around the cottage than in the main village. The front garden is secure to 4 foot high fencing on all sides of the garden (there are neighbours on both sides). There is a 4 foot gate to enter the garden directly from the private car parking space. Dogs left in the front garden can be supervised from the living room window. The rear garden and patio is accessed via the kitchen door but please note that the back garden is not secure and is open across the other cottages that face onto the dunes. For this reason, when exiting the cottage onto the dunes, please have dogs on leads until you are on the dunes and feel comfortable. We have had no reports of bird scarers being heard in the village, but as there are other residents locally you may hear other dogs barking on occasion. Parking is in a private space to the front of the property with access directly through the cottage courtyard gate and to the front door. The parking area is open so please be aware of this when exiting the car with dogs. The dogs are secure as soon as the garden gate is closed (to a height of 4 foot fencing).

When you arrive
On arrival, parking is at the front of the cottage in the private parking spaces situated at the end of the enclosed front garden. In front of the cottage is a good sized enclosed garden with lawn area, flowerbeds and paths, and outside seating where you can catch the afternoon and evening sun. Living room
There are two comfortable sofas and throws are provided. The cottage has electric heating throughout, as well as an electric stove in the living room. There is a 40 inch Smart TV with access to streaming services and Freesat. The living
room overlooks the front garden.

Dining room
This lovely room has seating for 6 for formal dining, There are two booster seats (age 6 months to 3 yrs), side lights, and a large cabinet with games, puzzles and books to explore.

Kitchen
This light and well equipped kitchen has lovely views over the dunes. There is an integrated electric oven and microwave, hob, free standing (50/50) fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier.
The back door leads out to a patio area with access straight onto the dunes. The patio and back garden are not enclosed at all so please be aware of this when exiting for walks with your dogs
Come back through to the dining room and turn left to go upstairs. There is a stairgate at the bottom of the stairs if you wish to use it. Please note the stairs are a little steep, fitting with age and style of property, There is.a handrail if you need
to use it.
Bedroom one
At the top of the stairs, turn right and walk along the corridor. This lovely light room has views out over the front garden front of the cottage and has a comfortable king size bed, side tables with bedside cabinet, and lamps and wardrobe storage.
Bedroom two
Turn left at the top of the stairs you will find bedroom 2 which overlooks the Marrams dunes (stunning views) and has a standard double size bed, with bedside cabinet, lamp and wardrobe. This room has another door leading to a spare/storage room
Spare/Storage room
This room also has views out over the Marrams, contains a cupboard housing the emersion heater and hot water tank, and a built in cupboard / wardrobe with additional hanging space if required. You can also find, an ironing board. A double
bed waterproof mattress protector, travel cot, and additional stair gate to be used at the top of the stairs if needed.
Bathroom
Is a large modern wet room (upstairs) with a walk in shower (Triton power shower), wash basin and WC.

We loved the cottage & had a really relaxing week in mostly glorious sunshine – unlike most of the country. The dogs were so excited to be straight out out onto the dunes and we had some wonderful walks. Didnt really venture much further than Winterton! We will definitely be back.

We have had a lovely week in Winterton, lots of early morning beach walks, before it got too warm for Albus. We have visited the area so often but this time made our first trip to Norwich. We enjoyed a lovely relaxing weekend at Marrams View. It was great being able to walk out of the cottage straight onto the dunes which our three dogs absolutely loved (as did we!). Amazing scenery and quite different to other parts of Norfolk. Everything was an easy walk away from the cottage – Poppys tea rooms, the Fisherman’s Return pub and the fish and chips bar. The welcome gifts were much appreciated by humans and dogs alike.

The absolute highlight for us was being so close to the seals on Winterton Beach. We had thought we may see one or two but to see soooo many has been incredible and really made our New Year break so special. We enjoyed Poppys Tea Room and the Fishermans Return in the village.
