At Pack Holidays, we know your dogs are the heart of your holiday. But we also know that sometimes, the “humans-only” world calls. Perhaps there’s a museum you’re dying to see, a boutique shop that isn’t quite paw-friendly, or a special anniversary dinner where you’d like to relax without watching the door.

To give you the best of both worlds, we’ve reached out to our cottage owners across the country to curate a list of trusted, local dog sitters. Now you can explore the best of the UK, knowing your pups are having just as much fun as you are!

🌟 Why Use a Local Sitter?

Even the most adventurous dog needs a nap, and even the most devoted dog owner deserves a breather. Using a local sitter allows you to:

  • Explore Without Limits: Visit historic sites, galleries, or indoor attractions where dogs aren’t permitted.
  • Relaxed Dining: Enjoy a long, lingering lunch or a late-night dinner without worrying about a lonely pup.
  • Professional Peace of Mind: Our recommended sitters are experienced locals who provide one-on-one attention in the comfort of your holiday home.

📍 Norfolk: Trusted Hands for Coastal Paws

For those staying in our beautiful Norfolk retreats, we have ssome fantastic local options to ensure your dog is well-cared for while you’re out:

  • Esme at Wayford Woofers : Lovely Esme (who has helped Gail out so many times with Jeff, Dara and Freda) will happily take your dogs for walks whilst you are out or if you want a break. Do book early though as I know Esme gets very busy
  • Shannon’s Pet Care: Shannon offers attentive sitting so you can hit the shops or a local bistro worry-free. (Contact: info@shannonspetcare.co.uk).

📍 Cornwall: Expert Care in Hayle

If you’re enjoying the golden sands of Cornwall at Oak Cottage, Holly Cottage, Sycamore Cottage, Sparrows Roost, or Beech Cottage, you’re in luck.

  • Emma Robinson: Owner Helen highly recommends Emma, who isn’t just a dog lover—she’s a part-time vet nurse. You can rest easy knowing your pack is in the most capable hands. (Contact: 07751 316859).

📍 Lancashire: The VIP Treatment

Staying at Pompian Lodge in Bretherton? You might find your dog doesn’t want to leave the sitter!

  • Owner Ian lives just a stone’s throw away and often steps in to look after guest dogs. From garden runs and “back-scratch” sessions to a dip in the pool, your dogs will be dried, spoiled, and completely relaxed by the time you get back from your day trip.

💡 A Quick Tip for Your Stay

In many of our Pack Holiday homes, you are welcome to leave your dogs for short periods if they are settled and happy. However, if your dog is in a new environment and feels a bit “sticky,” a sitter is the perfect solution to prevent any holiday stress (for them or you!).
