When You Arrive 🚗 Pull into your private parking space right outside the door and breathe in that Northumberland sea air! The Bamburgh Bolthole is designed for easy arrivals. The large porch leads into a spacious, light-filled 120m² interior. If you’ve spent the day on the dunes, you’ll love the practical, high-end finish that makes this cottage both luxurious and totally dog-practical.

Living & Dining 🛋️ The open-plan living area is the heart of the home. It’s a vast space where everyone can congregate after a day of exploring. The kitchen is a foodie’s dream—fully equipped with a dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, and plenty of prep space. There’s a dedicated dining area for long, lazy holiday breakfasts where the dogs can snooze under the table. 🍳🥣

There is a very comfortable sofa bed in the living room which allows up to 8 guests alongside the three bedrooms

• Bedroom 1 (Ground Floor): A huge Super King retreat with a large Jack & Jill ensuite wet-room. Perfect for those who want to avoid stairs. ♿

• Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): A massive room featuring another Super King bed (which can be split into two singles on request) plus an additional double sofa-bed.

• Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): Two comfortable adult-sized single beds.

• Bathrooms: 🚿 You’ve got a walk-in shower ensuite downstairs and a full family bathroom with a bath upstairs.

The Garden (The Secure Zone) 🔒 We know that a holiday isn't a holiday if you’re constantly hovering by the back door. Sean has installed 4ft secure fencing around the garden area to ensure that even the most inquisitive members of the pack can explore their own outdoor space in safety.

We specialize in welcoming larger canine families. With 120m² of floor space, there is plenty of room for multiple dog beds without anyone tripping over a tail.

How secure is the garden for my dogs? 🔒 The garden features a 4ft high secure fence that is fully enclosed. It has been specifically designed to provide a safe space for dogs to explore without the worry of them wandering off, though we always recommend supervising any particularly high jumpers!

How many dogs can I bring, and are there any extra charges? 🐕 You can bring up to 6 dogs as standard, and they stay completely free of charge. If you have a larger pack (up to 10), just give Gail a shout—Sean is very flexible and happy to discuss larger groups.

Is the cottage truly accessible for older dogs or humans with mobility needs? ♿ Yes! The entire ground floor is fully accessible and wheelchair friendly. It includes a spacious Super King bedroom and a large Jack & Jill ensuite wet-room, meaning no stairs are necessary for a comfortable stay.

What is included in the Doggy Welcome Hamper? 🎁 Sean loves to "wow" his four-legged guests! Every booking includes a dog welcome hamper built into the base price, filled with treats to make your pack feel at home from the moment they arrive.

Can I bring pets other than dogs? 🦎 Absolutely! The Bamburgh Bolthole is uniquely pet-positive—lizards and other unusual family members are more than welcome to join the holiday!

Where can I park, and is it safe for unloading the dogs? 🚗 There is one parking space directly at the front door, making it incredibly easy and safe to move your dogs from the car into the cottage. There are also two additional off-road spaces available in the car park for larger groups.

What are the rules regarding dogs on furniture? 🛋️ We want your dogs to feel as relaxed as you do! There are no "dogs-off-furniture" rules. We simply ask that you use the throws provided to keep the high-end finish looking its best.

Do you accept short breaks? ⏱️ Yes! In the low season (Jan/Feb and Nov/Dec), we offer 2-night weekend and 4-night midweek breaks. During the rest of the year, we generally have a 7-night minimum, but Sean is happy to fill "orphan night" gaps of 3 nights or more if they appear on the calendar.

How close are the famous Northumberland beaches? 🏖️ You are perfectly positioned! The iconic Bamburgh Beach is just 5 miles away (about a 10-15 minute drive), and the magical Holy Island is also a short trip north.
