Nestled in a private “Secret Garden” on a gorgeous Staffordshire smallholding, Hide and Sheep offers breath-taking views across the moorlands. It is a blissful escape for one or two humans and their dogs, sitting right on the doorstep of the Peak District National Park. Whether you’re here to hike the Roaches or simply watch the sunset from your canopy with a glass of wine, this is nature, refined.

Reactive Dog Guide
Hide and Sheep is a 2 Star Reactive Friendly - There is a secure fence all around the hut to 4 feet high (minimum). If your dog can jump this high and over the fence, it will only be able to jump into another secure areas

There are wooden steps up to Hide and Sheep Shepherds hut. It is not suitable for those with mobility issues

Small but Perfectly Formed
Hide and Sheep is a masterclass in clever design. It’s light, airy, and packed with personality.
The Living Space: A cosy area with a wood-burning stove, a dining table, and chairs. There is a TV and super-fast Wi-Fi included for when you want to plug back into the real world.
The Kitchenette: Includes a classic Belfast sink, a mini-fridge, and all the essentials for a glamping feast.
The Bed: One of the comfiest double beds you’ll ever find, tucked into a cosy nook with views out over the fields.
Midnight Convenience: No trekking across a dark field! The hut has its own internal WC and wash-hand basin.
🌳 Outdoor Space & Facilities
This is where Hide and Sheep truly stands out from other glamping pods.
The Secret Garden: The hut is set in its own private, secure garden. It features a hidden seating area and a dedicated BBQ spot.
The Canopy: A beautiful undercover outdoor area with seating—perfect for a morning coffee while the dogs sniff the moorland air.
The Paddock & Play Barn: Guests have access to a secure paddock on the smallholding. Even better, there is a fantastic indoor play barn available (for a separate fee)—a total game-changer for dog owners during a British summer!
Shower Block: A separate, private shower block with a further WC is just a short walk from the hut.
🐾 Reactive Dog Guide
Hide and Sheep is a 2-Star Reactive Friendly stay. It is located on a quiet, rural smallholding.
Security: There is a secure fence all around the hut (minimum 4ft high). If your dog were to hop over, they would simply find themselves in another secure area of the smallholding.
Peace & Quiet: The "Secret Garden" location means your dogs won't be constantly watching passers-by.
Space: With the secure paddock and the indoor barn, you can give your dogs high-energy exercise without the stress of meeting other dogs on lead.

Inside the Hut: We provide a hairdryer, a first supply of logs for the stove, and throws for the bed.
Doggy Needs: Dog bowls are provided, and there is an outside hose for rinsing off muddy paws after a Peak District hike.
Essentials: Tea and coffee making facilities are ready for your arrival.

❓ FAQs
Is it warm in the winter? Yes! Between the wood-burning stove and the electric supply, the hut stays lovely and toasty even when the Staffordshire moorland gets chilly.
How secure is the garden? The fence is a minimum of 4ft high. It’s a very safe space for most dogs, especially as the surrounding areas are also part of the secure smallholding.
Are there stairs? There are wooden steps up into the hut itself, so it isn't suitable for guests or dogs with significant mobility issues.
What about the Play Barn? The indoor play barn is a private facility on-site. You can book sessions for a small fee during your stay—it's a great way to let the dogs burn off steam regardless of the weather!
Where Can I Get Some Supplies : How about on the doorstep? There is a little onsite paddock pod where you can buy reasonably priced home made essentials such as cakes, jam, eggs, doggy treats and even the home produced organic Dexter beef
