Have a lovely dog friendly luxury holiday

Going on holiday with your dog is a special experience.   One to create many lovely memories of a fabulous time.  When looking for a dog friendly luxury cottage holiday, I know that we all put our dogs needs first.   It’s all important to ensure that the holiday you choose not only warmly welcomes your dogs, but allows a safe, comfortable and secure environment for their needs.

But what about you?   It is wonderful to have some luxury for you and your family / friends when going on a dog friendly holiday.

Before searching for your perfect dog friendly luxury cottage, have a think about what you would like to do, what facilities within the cottage would be perfect for you, where your ideal cottage would be located, what amenities and services are available locally for you and what activities you would like to do.   Would you like a hot tub, would you like to be beside the sea, would your family like an indoor games room or swimming pool?

We have cottages that provide hot tubs for an additional extra (Mimi in Sea Palling and West Cottage in Waxham).

If you are searching elsewhere (other than Pack Holidays) remember that most dog friendly holiday cottages allow search filters by term, so searching for a hot tub should be fairly easy.  Similarly, searching for a luxury cottage facility such as a pool or games room can be done in the same way.

Standards of dog friendly luxury cottages may include some fabulous touches, such as American style fridge freezers, comprehensive coffee machines or maybe you prefer a modern layout and style (in which case, always check the pictures of your chosen accommodation carefully.  Look out for top quality bed linen, comfortable mattresses and of course, fluffy towels!  Most dog friendly luxury holiday cottages and cabins come well equipped with books, games, extra large Smart TVs, sound systems, wood for woodburners and all manner of kitchen items needed (there’s always a time to use a lemon squeezer or a cheese slicer!).   All of our very dog friendly self catering cottages provide supplies of cleaning products, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc so you don’t have to worry about bringing any of those items with you.

If you are looking for olde-worlde charm and character (perhaps stylish kitchens and LaCanche ranges), many larger cottages provide all that you need to cook up a storm.  Eden Hall in Bacton is a perfect place for a touch of character, luxury and charm!

Location-wise, consider the local culture, cuisine (certain locations have some fantastic local dishes to try!) and the local community too.  Small and rural areas tend to have bespoke local shops and local produce.  Research local farmers markets as they tend to stock produce from very local (10-15 mile radius) and generally excellent quality products.  We have no end of lovely farmers markets, local bespoke shops with local fresh produce and if you want to do a bit of pre-holiday research, do check your Guest Login on your booking and you will find a number of them highlighted for you.

If privacy is a priority, look at what is local to the dog friendly luxury cottage or cabin.  Is it overlooked and do you have neighbours nearby?   Check the length of time it takes to walk to the nearest shop or local dog welcoming pub or restaurant.  If you need to book transport (taxi) check whether its easily bookable in advance or whether you can pick up a cab within minutes.

Always always remember to ask me for advice too!  I know so many local companies / pubs / restaurants and quite a bit about each location so do let me know what it is you are looking for and I will be able to give you some advice and support (and if you pose me a question I haven’t heard before, even better!!!   I love finding things out for our fabulous guests!)

And if you are looking for external catering, do get in touch with the me.  There are some lovely local small companies and individuals who do dinner parties / catering events to make your holiday the most special of experiences in a dog friendly luxury cottage or cabin.

My cottages do have different welcome packs (and where they are different, most are noted on the website).  If you fancy a breakfast welcome pack at an additional cost, do let me know.

Self care:  Do you fancy a deep tissue massage, or a full body Swedish massage?  Or do you fancy a detoxing body wrap or facial or Indian head massage.  We can offer you an appointment at the cottage of your choice with a specialist self care consultant to fully get you into the holiday mood!

Fabulous food:  How about ordering an afternoon tea box to settle you into your holiday in the most perfect way, or is there a special birthday with one of your party?  You can order afternoon tea boxes (sweet or savoury) or a special celebration cake to be waiting for you on arrival at your cottage (extra charge for this) 😊  You can also order a bottle of fizz to be chilling nicely in the fridge for your arrival

Do you need a specialist place to have offlead time? K9 Unleashed in South Walsham is the most

And finally, if you want a relaxing walk with an extra special and fabulous expert, I have Harriet who owns ‘’All About The Dog’’ who can take you on  fabulous new walks with your dogs.  She specialises in reactive friendly walks and can find marvellous places locally to take your dogs off lead (or on if you prefer)

Whatever it is that I can do to make your holiday even more special and luxurious, you know I’m on it!  Just for you!
