Echoes is a 2 star Reactive Friendly Pack Holidays cottage.  Here are the reasons why, but also more importantly, what aspects of the cottage may not be suitable for your reactive.Echoes is situated on a residential road, quite central in Sea Palling village.  There are two residential houses on either side of Echoes.  There are passers by at the front of the house but the windows overlooking the little road are the living room and kitchen, with the garden at the rear of the property.  The garden is quite private.  The fencing surrounding the garden is high (6 feet and solid fencing) with an additional 10 feet hedge on the other side of the fence which is parallel to the house.  AS it is a residential area, there may be dogs heard in other cottages so if you have a very noise reactive dog, you may wish to contact Gail first to discuss any concerns. The access to the beach is via Beach Road, so if walking direct to the beach, you may meet other people and dogs doing the same thing.Parking is at the front of the property with access directly through the front door.  The parking area is not fenced so please be aware of this.We have had no reports of bird scarers heard whilst staying at Echoes.Once on the beach, there is plenty of room to be quite isolated from others, and nice dune walks reached from Clink Road and rural walks via this route too.  You can exit Chapel Road, turn right, then up to the bridle path on the left hand side of Waxham Road, in order to enter the beach at a quieter location during busier times.

  1. The Newman Family

Another lovely relaxing week at Echoes. We’ve been lucky with the weather and been on the beach every day with the family dogs. We’ve all enjoyed returning to Echoes – a home from home

  2. Kerry and family (+ 8 dogs)

We’ve had a wonderful Christmas week at Echoes, 7 humans including one 4 year old and 8 dogs. We really didn’t want to leave!

The house is super spacious, especially the huge kitchen and table space for us all which helped cooking and serving Christmas dinner so easy! The decorations added to the house were a lovely touch. Beds were very comfy and the house is very homely and nicely set up. The hard floors downstairs made it easy to keep clean with the endless sandy paws.

Sea Palling is a lovely place, the dogs enjoyed endless long walks on the beach (only 5 minute walk away) and our 4 year old daughter loved the small arcade and trampolines. There is also a few nice cafe’s.

Gail was really nice to talk to and got back to our queries really quickly!

    Thank you from us all!
We loved it so much we booked again for Christmas next year!

  3. Maura

A very comfortable well resourced house. Beds are soooo comfortable. Lovely quiet road and such a short distance to the beach
    Would love to come again
We were blessed with beautiful warm weather

  4. Mr and Mrs Jolly

We stayed at Echos for the first half of September 2023. Our rescued street dog, Eddy, is good with most dogs, but can be a little scared of (and thus reactive- at least on lead) of large dogs. Echos was perfect for him and us. It was very spacious and well equipped with lots of DVDs etc for rainy days (which we didn’t have!). The house was bigger than we needed; but that was perfect. The fully enclosed garden was also great – and the doors from the house onto the patio made for lovely breakfasts.

The house is also ideal for easy access to the coast path from a number of directions. The sea wall also helps prevent roaming dogs like Eddy from zooming off out of view (although we had to be careful he didn’t run up the steps that are frequent and pass through the sea wall).

A really lovely stay; and we were blessed with great weather too.

Sea palling is very small and the general shop, which was only about a hundred meters away from the house, was a god send.

All in all, the house was great; well thought through for families with or without reactive dogs. Thank you Gail and the team. We will return!

  5. Sue

Loved staying at Echoes. Lovely and quiet.
Smashing place for the three dogs, they loved the whole experience.
Went to Bacton Woods today – what a lovely place! The house is great, everything here that you need.
The garden is super, so enclosed so no worries with dogs getting out. Loved the dog tags!
    Thank you!!

  6. Helen, & family

Wow, 3rd stay here and booked next year already. Fantastic family accommodation fantastic location fantastic beach. Highly recommend. Cleaner was brilliant. Thank you Gail and your pack squad.

  7. Sandra, Jackie and The Pugs

We had a wonderful stay in your fabulous house. As soon as we walked in there was a such a lovely feeling, just like home….. you really have thought of everything. We have taken the dogs on long beach walks and dune walks everyday. They really have enjoyed it so much. The location is perfect, everyone is so friendly. We really hope to return for another visit, a perfect break! Thank you so much.

  8. Andrea and Terry

Wow! What to say about Echoes! This holiday home is one of the best we have stayed in. the rooms are all furnished to a high standard, especially the kitchen which has everything that you need and more. The dogs have had a wonderful time on the beach and seeing the seal pups was just amazing! This holiday home for us was definitely a 10/10

  9. The Alvey Smiths

We’ve travelled as a family from Lincolnshire; Grandma, Grandad, Mum, Dad, Uncle, Grand children and 3 dogs. We’ve all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There’s so much to do to suit all ages! We enjoyed the Broads Tours, the tour in Waxham (we were amazed by the amount of seals on Horsey beach!). Great Yarmouth also proved to be a day out suitable for all the family and dogs. The house isn’t without anything, it has all the amenities that you could possibly need when travelling with the dogs and a young child. Ethel the Leonberger wasn’t a happy dog on the departure morning but we enjoyed a last run along the fabulous Sea Palling beach. We’re all disappointed that the holiday has ended so quickly so we will just have to book again! Thank you for opening this superb holiday cottage – we have loved it!

  10. Maurice + mattie and The Frenchies

We’ve had a perfectly smashing time, when the fog descended again we drove to Stalham and had a good lunch at ‘Charlottes in the High Street.
We spotted a seal in the waves at Horsey and met lots of other ‘doggie’ people. Everyone was so welcoming although not the easiest access from Northumberland!

  11. The Lee’s

Perfect house, has everything we needed. Wonderful spot so easy for walking dogs on local beach every day. Thank you for the welcome treats for both us and the dogs.

  12. The Temple family

We all had a lovely stay here at Echoes, lovely walks with the dogs. Pack Holidays are brilliant, this is our second stay here and our second cottage. We might try somewhere different next year as there are so many to choose from.

  13. Franni, Geoff & Poppy

We’ve had a lovely break and have enjoyed exploring the local beaches with Poppy. A very different sort of holiday for us! Hope to be back at this lovely cottage some time next year.

  14. Dan, Steve, Lesley, Phil, Chelsea, Harry and Keira

We had a lovely holiday, weather has been amazing. Loved being so close to the beach, definitely deserves its Blue Flag award. Great place to stay, lots of room for everyone. Lots of kitchen equipement, lovely private garden, everything clean when we arrived, nice decor, very quiet area.

Woul recommend Pack Holidays to friends and family and looking at next years with you.

    Thank you

  15. June, Malcom, Sadie, Cooper & Kim

Another fantastic stay in Echoes. We love this warm house as its so close to the beach/shop/pub/cafe but up a quiet no through road. We have friends in the surrounding area and its was great to be able to meet up again and walk the 12 dogs along the best beaches in the UK. Everywhere is so dog friendly. My dogs look forward to having their Nero bickies as a treat. Thank you Gail and team for a seamless booking once again. 3 very depressed dogs going home!!

  16. Ian, Sharon and the dogs

A lovely stay again. The house is always clean and tidy. A really nice quiet stay. We brought 4 staffordshire bull terriers and they really enjoyed the room and especially the beaches. We have already booked for our third stay for next year!

  17. Miriam

Echoes is such a lovely house! It’s beautifully located for quick access to the beach yet remains peacefully quiet being away from the main road. We have been so lucky with the weather and have really enjoyed our stay. Thank goodness, we have already booked for June 2022.

There really is everything you need at Echoes to create a true home from home and its great to have a choice of beach or country walks from the door to ensure maximum pleasure for the dogs!

Can’t wait to return, Thank you Gail and Team

  18. Miriam, Michael and dogs

Our second stay at Echoes, we love the house, the location, the garden, lovely and quiet, unlike our life at home. Our very barky dog hardly barked. The house is very clean and everything possible is provided. Thank you

  19. Chandlers

Had a lovely 3 night stay, literally didn’t want to come home. Cottage warm and cosy with a very well equipped kitchen. Easy walk to the beach. Watched the sun rise and saw the seals. Can’t wait to come back again! Lovely carvery at Reefs . Thank You!!

  22. Ali, Dave, Gilly and Daisy

Had a lovely week. Echoes is ideally placed for walking to the beach, even with older dogs. Watch for the bats in the garden at dusk, we would definitely come back again!

  23. Louise, Dan, Clare, Zachary, David, Dylan, Olly and Bruno

Thank you for a wonderful stay! 4 adults, one baby + three dogs all fit comfortably in the house. Lovely spacious living space + such a fantastic location. We really enjoyed the daily dog walks along the beach (just 5 minutes away) and were really well placed for trips to Wroxham barns, Great Yarmouth, Thrigby park, the Broads etc. We all had such a great time here in Norfolk and would love to come back again.

The fudge + cake welcome was well appreciated after a long drive and we found it very thoughtful.
