3 Star Reactive Dog Friendly

3 Star Reactive Dog Rated

Fenside is a 2 star Reactive Friendly Pack Holidays cottage, but very much heading towards the 3 star rating. Here are the reasons why, but also more importantly, what aspects of the cottage may not be suitable for your reactive. Fenside is situated in a very quiet area, off the beaten track and on the edge of farmland (there are no working farm buildings nearby). There is one house next door (Mimi) which is also a Pack Holidays cottage but it is at the side of Fenside so is not overlooking the house unduly.  Their garden is also on the other side of Mimi so can’t be seen from Fenside and vice versa. The fields in front of Fenside have been arable for the past 4 years, and whilst we have seen some cattle, they have been three fields away (and are rather like little dots on the horizon).  The fencing around Fenside garden is  3 to 3.5 feet all the way around so whilst quite secure for most dogs, if you have jumpers, this might not be the right choice for you.The garden is accessed directly from the main entry door and the patio doors so you can see the dogs in the garden quite easily.  There are some lovely bridle paths nearby as well as the walk to the beach via Beach Road.  There is also a very quiet route to the Beach through the church yard and across a farm track to the sand dunes, which is fully documented in the guest manual or for a quieter walk to the beach, take the bridle path on the left hand side of the road as you walk up Waxham Road.  That takes you across the dunes to the beach. There are no passers-by, other than the guests currently staying at Mimi cottage, and the odd delivery to next door.  The houses are quite separate and there is no shared fencing.

Fenside, Sea Palling

Fenside, Church Road, Sea Palling, NR12 0UA
(48 customer reviews)

Previously a farm labourer’s cottage, Fenside was restored from a completely derelict state, and modernised into a lovely home.  It can accommodate five guests comfortably in three bedrooms.

Sea Palling couldn’t be more dog friendly.  Both the café and bar/restaurant welcome your pooches with open arms, and you can take your dogs on the beach all year round.  There is also a fish and chip restaurant, an amusement arcade, a local shop (which sells practically everything) and a Post Office.  Drive three minutes along the road toward Ingham and you will find the family-run Causeway butcher, selling wonderful local meat, eggs and milk (ask for bones for your dogs).  Just a few hundred yards from there is the incredibly well-stocked farm shop where you can get bread and cakes, fruit and veg, logs and kindling, and lots, lots more.

Sea Palling is an ideal base for exploring all along our Norfolk coast.  Head south, to Waxham and Horsey for the amazing site of our grey seal colony.  Step back in time at the amazing Poppylands tea room, or enjoy some award-winning ciders and real ale at the Nelson Head pub.  Head north to the Happisburgh lighthouse, making sure to call in at the brilliant Small Sticks café at Cart Gap.  A little further afield you’ll enjoy other seaside towns such as Winterton-on-Sea, Mundesley, Cromer, Sheringham and Wells.

Cottage Details

On Arrival

Drive through the gate at the end of the lane where there is plenty of off road parking for two cars.

Go through the garden gate, and past the patio doors, to the front door.

Enter the small hallway and turn right into the

Kitchen

The large, eat-in kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, whether you like to cook up a full English with a pot of builder’s tea, or prefer to keep it simple with croissants and a cafetière of freshly-brewed coffee.  The owners are keen cooks and you will find a slow cooker, Magimix food processor, a Ninja Air Gryer, stick blender and sandwich toaster.  There is even a waffle maker which is always a hit with the children.

There is plenty of cupboard space, along with a large fridge freezer;  perfect for anyone with raw-fed dogs or to keep lots of ice cream on hand in the summer.  Forget washing up, as there is a dishwasher.  One of the wall sockets has two handy USB charging points.

The dedicated doggy cupboard has an assortment of feeding bowls, towels, poo bags, emergency leads and holiday tags.

Through the kitchen, and out into the lobby where the washing machine is located. Turn right into

Downstairs Shower room

The shower room was refitted in May 2018, and provides a sleek and modern walk-in shower.  Water pressure at Fenside is really good, and a huge hot water tank provides a great shower experience.  There is a large mirror with lights and a cupboard to store your lotions and potions.

Return though the kitchen and walk across to the

Living Room

This gorgeous room has its own feature painting right outside the doors.  Every window at Fenside enjoys wonderful views, but the very best experience is from the lounge.  Whatever the season, there is always something to see.  Sit quietly with a cup of coffee and watch for wildlife;  pheasant and deer are regular visitors to the farmer’s field just a few feet away.  Open the patio doors in the summer and watch the sunshine shimmer on the ripening barley.  During the winter months, listen out for crowds of migrating geese that set down in the fields.  And of course, the gorgeous sunsets in our breathtaking Norfolk skies.  On a clear night you will get an amazing view of the stars.

The lounge itself is spacious and stylish.  There is plenty of seating, with noodle mats so you can snuggle up with your dogs. The feature fireplace has a wood burner, which is perfect for a cosy winter night in.  Pour yourself a glass of wine, pull up a footstool, and watch a film on Netflix.

The owners have chosen a wood effect, vinyl tile flooring, with a textured finish, to minimise the possibility of slippy paws (and feet!).  They have provided a selection of games, jigsaws, cards and books to keep you amused, along with a DAB+ radio with Bluetooth so that you can play your own music and an Echo dot Alexa.

Come back out of the living room and turn left to go upstairs.

Single Bedroom

The first bedroom is a single with a very comfortable, medium support sprung mattress with a thick mattress topper. There is a bedside table with reading lamp, and a chest of drawers.

Twin Bedroom

(or as the owners call it, the Awkward Room):

The second bedroom is light and bright, and has twin beds, with the chimney breast between. There is room for bedside drawers, but not a wardrobe, and so the owners have fitted clever fold-out hooks with plenty of hangers.  The beds have hotel quality mattresses, with thick mattress toppers, providing both support and comfort, and there is space underneath to store your cases and holdalls, or to push the dog beds away during the daytime.

Exit the twin bedroom and walk back along the landing to the:

Upstairs Bathroom

This fresh room has a traditional white bath suite and neutral tiling, with metallic mosaic edge.  There is a large mirror with lights.

Double Bedroom

The double room is painted in a soothing cream, with tones of red and grey.  It has a comfortable double bed with pocket-sprung mattress, filled with natural silk and wool fibres.  The owners have ensured that all of Fenside’s beds have high quality, 100% cotton bedding, with cosy throws and a choice of duvet weights to keep you comfortable.  Bedside tables, a chest of drawers and hanging rails with plenty of hangers complete the room.

Outside

The medium-sized garden is laid mainly to grass with borders and shrubs.  There is a patio table and chairs, with parasol and cushions.  The palisade fence encloses the property completely, however, please be aware that it is just 3 to 3.5 feet high.  This gives uninterrupted views across the fields.  Being at the very end of the lane, there is no passing traffic, however, for anyone with a reactive dog, please be aware that the driveway to Mimi cottage next door goes around the perimeter of the garden, and so there is the occasional person or car coming or going.

Its our home from home with thanks as always to Jane and Annette for letting us stay in their lovely cottage, Gail for always being so helpful with bookings and of course Sharon for the absolute clean and spotless cottage!! If you want a holiday that is stress free and you enjoy isolation and nature and wildlife, use Fenside as your base!
The most perfect spot and cottage with all the needs of both hoomans and dogs catered for (in spades)
The beaches are amazing especially Winterton, Horsey Gap and Sea Palling itself!

We couldnt get over the spaciousness of the beaches, great for safe swimming reactive dogs and perfect solitude

  3. Ian Gil and Bell

Our journey here wasnt the best but when we arrived we felt very welcome!
The cottage has everything and more that we needed
The washing machine is such a benefit
    The views are amazing
We walked to the beach every day, the tidal clock is a real gem
So quiet and peaceful just what the doctor ordered Thank you

  4. Nicki Cambray

My sister and I needed some R & R and boy did we get it. Wow! !!, what a place very secluded, private and so, so peaceful. In the middle of nowhere just surrounded by fields, wildlife and tranquility. Sunrises and sunsets to die for. Great views, welcome pack for humans and dogs much appreciated. The cottage was so clean, downstairs spacious and perfect. The beaches, everyone we visited were so clean and dog friendly and miles and miles of sand. The seals at Horsey Gap were very entertaining and even saw a pup in September. The weather was glorious and even swam in the sea with the dogs!!!! Poppylands tea room is a must to visit set back in the 40’s and the food was amazing. Dunnes cafe does the most amazing Norfolk shortbread and everywhere does hot coffee which tastes lovely. The beach at Winterton was lovely also and the dogs even had biscuits and sausages bought out to them and they had to finish off with an Ice cream!!! Sea Paling beach was easy to get to and was practically empty again miles and miles of sand. Horsey and Cart Gap beach was plentiful with seals also. We didn’t want to come home. If you are hesitating to book – don’t,- you will not be disappointed. Dogs are now in a somewhat deflated state 🙁 and I live on a farm with plenty of room but they loved the beach so much. Will definately be back to visit Norfolk. Thank you From Nicki, Chris, Islay, Fern and Dotty. 🐾👍☀️❤️🐶

  5. Karen and Glen, Billy, Freddie and Puck!

What a lovely house! So clean when we arrived and so much space for our 3 dogs. Garden is perfect. And the views! Loved looking out across the fields from the garden chairs or comfy armchairs with a cup of tea (or Merlot!) in hand!
Excellent beaches here and we’re amazed at how dog friendly all the pubs and restaurants are. We’ve had a lovely relaxing holiday.

  6. Jacque, Andy and Hattie

Our second visit to Fenside. This is really starting to feel like our second home.
We all love it here and cant wait to return
We couldnt ask anything more of Fenside, it is always spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need and more
The view and complete peace and quiet is perfect
The hardest part of our holiday is having to go home.
But bac home we must, and already looking forward to our next visit
    Thanks for another great stay

  7. Love Ace, Mala and Romy and hoomans Claudia Alex and Jessica

It was a love at first sight. Was the most well appointed cottage we have ever been to.
The quality of the cottage was outstanding – beautifully clean and sparkling!
The views – wow!! The area so quiet and amazing. Loved the garden, how close to the beach we were!
    The welcome pack was superb
We felt like VIP guests – highly recommend!

  8. Debbie, Anne, Charlie, Bertie

Very enjoyable stay at Fenside, nice and quiet location and an easy walk to a lovely quiet part of the beach. All very dog friendly and the garden was secure for both children and four dogs. Fenside is a great base for exploring the wonderful beaches of Norfolk, such as Happisburgh Waxham and Winterton.

  9. Diane and Phil and the paws

Another lovely holiday at Fenside, as always sparkling clean and containing much more than you would ever need! Nice and quiet as no one in Mimi. Been out on the beach early, every morning – mainly locals with dogs on the beach but as usual, able to walk for miles and test the sea temperatures – several seals bobbing up when least expected. Visited several new areas but always come back to Dunes Cafe, Waxham and Acle, Poppies at Horsey and our favourite the cliff walk from Happisburgh Lighthouse to Smallsticks Cafe at Cart Gap. Walked on Scratby beach, very different and busy with lots of dogs, who all unaccountably seem to ignore each other
Ours loved the sea there, it seemed calmer and lovely ice cream van when you have walked back up the steep ramp up the cliffs to the road. All in all, great weather, only seemed to rain in the evening / overnight – looking forward to returning for our 4th visit next year! Thanks Jane and Annette and Gail and the sparkly cleaner

  10. Claire Carlile

Another wonderful week at Fenside, lots of lovely as you’re, Blickling and Felbrigg National Trust Halls, the walks at both are lovely and so many different ones to choose from. Sea Palling beach a short walk away is ideal, favourite beach though is Cart Gap which is so quiet with a reactive dog it’s wonderful to be able to let him run to his hearts content.
Fenside itself is so relaxing, garden is peaceful and just sitting looking at the view…..wonderful. Everything and more, clean, extremely equipped and comfortable for us all, dogs loved it.

  11. Claire, David, Ted Paddy and Renn

Another lovely week at Fenside, always goes so fast!
We’ve visited Blickling, Felbrigg, Cart Gap beach being our favourite, Sea Palling beach is lovely but more difficult with reactive dog as it was busy.
Had a lovely lunch at Veras and also went to The Greyhound at Hickling, lovely meal. (Portions were massive and we couldn’t eat it all!) best to book to make sure you can eat.
Luckily we managed to miss most of the rain, no hardship coming back here to enjoy the view and read
Thank you to everyone involved with Fenside

  12. Nadine&Hartmut

We had a wonderful time at Fenside and so recommend that place. It’s very clean and very well equipped. We stayed there with two dogs and they had a good time in the garden or on the noodle mats on the sofa. The beach is in walking distance. Big thanks to Pack Holidays!

  13. Nadine and Hartmunt and Amber and Duffy

We stayed the last week of our 3 week holiday in England (the first one driving with our own car and the two dogs) at this fabulous cottage. To Annette and Jane, what great work you have done here! It’s so well equipped (better than our own home) and it’s amazing that there have been so many other dogs and people stayed here and still everything looks like it does
Thanks to Gail for the perfect organisation and thanks for the delicious welcome pack.
We have had a great time on several beaches (our dogs loved Wells-Next-The-Sea the most!)
Oh please dont change the fence! The view is so relaxing!!!

  14. Tracy Smith

    Another amazing holiday at fenside.
Always beautiful to walk into so clean and welcoming.
Lost count of how many times we’ve been but that does say how much we love it doggies love the garden.
Waxham barns are a must food is excellent also poppylands.
Now on the countdown for Christmas and new year.
Team Pack Holiday’s just go above and beyond to make your holiday something special.

  15. Rob and Lesley and Indie, Teddy and Billie

Our first time at Fenside although been staying at Sea Palling for many years now!
Annette and Jane you have a wonderful cottage, so beautifully kept and everything possible has been thought of for your guests, hooman and doggies
A real home from home spotlessly clean and the view from the lounge is amazing, we were treated to the Marsh Harriers hovering just in the field outside the garden – a magnificent sight including the 2 deer on early evening leaping through the long grass!
Slow lazy walks to the beach, stopping for refreshments on the way back
Dunes Cafe, Waxham Barn an absolute must, very very dog friendly
Our 3 dogs have really made themselves at home laying on their backs looking out the windows
Taken all week to do the 1000 piece black and white panda bear jigsaw!! Very very challenging
Dont change a thing abut Fenside! It is wonderful! Thank you for a lovely stay! xxx

  16. Allison, Jonathan, Maria, Graham & Dex

Another lovely stay at Fenside, it really is a home from home – one of the best equipped cottages we’ve stayed in, well maintained and very clean. The cottage is in walking distance of an excellent dogs allowed beach and has its own secure garden that gets plenty of sun all day. Many lovely walks and dog friendly pubs within a short drive. Already booked our break for next year! Thank you

  17. Sarah Wilton

Lovely cottage, superbly equipped kitchen and comfy living space. Garden not huge, but perfect for our 3. Would not be suitable for jumpers, but was perfectly adequate for our two small dogs and antique lurcher who is not inclined to run or jump any more. Would be a shame to make the fence higher, as the views over the fields are lovely and saw several marsh harriers whilst sitting in the garden, along with pheasants, rabbits and a deer. Short and pleasant walk to the beach at Sea Palling. Excellent welcome pack and exceptionally clean.. Great base, visited Wroxham barns, beaches at Sea Palling, Happisburgh, Cart Gap and Caister on Sea. Also visited Horsey Wind Pump and did the wildlife boat trip there, excellent excursion, not sure if we were just lucky but saw a crane, cuckoo, marsh harriers, grey heron, spoonbill and great white egret amongst many others. Also visited Cromer for a spot of retail therapy, and Priory Maze gardens which were lovely. However the menu options at the cafe no longer so great, so would eat elsewhere. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  18. Sarah, Steven, Frankie and Penny, Zippy and George (woof!)

Lovely relaxing holiday. Really enjoyed local beaches, a visit to Cromer, Wroxham Barns, and Horsey Mill. Also did the Wildlife Boat Trip at Horsey and had some really good sightings of Marsh Harriers, Spoonbills, Cuckoo, Crane and Great White Egret amongst others.
    Thanks for a lovely stay!

  19. Karen and Tony, plus Storm, Rold, Ebby, Tilly, Bella and Mabel who all enjoyed their treats

This was our first stay at Fenside and we all had a lovely relaxing stay!
The cottage, setting and views are amazing.
We all settled in straight away and we really enjoyed how peaceful it is.
We wish we could stay longer.
Thank you to Annette and Jane for allowing us to stay and thank you to Gail for always making sure everything is perfect.
We can’t wait to return xx

  20. Jim, Kim Rolo and Lola

Another perfect holiday, thank you for letting us share your wonderful home. Weather was good to us, lots of trips to Bacton Woods and the beach, spectacular spring tides!
    Thanks

  21. John, Michael, Amelia, Sam and Lucy and Jack, Rosie, Ben and Toby

We all had a lovely time on our first visit at Fenside.
We were grateful to have everything we could think of for our pack of dogs.
A lovely area with peace and quiet when we needed it.
Thank you for a lovely holiday

  22. John Gill

Stayed at Fenside before we were over the moon with the property and its cleanliness and it’s location
Is very good for getting about and also brilliant if you just want to relax and walk the dogs, we have just returned after staying there again and still a fantastic place and the weather was acceptable and walked Benny to the beach every morning and he was in his element then when he had run himself out we went to the local cafe by the beach for a drink and nibbles then returned to Fenside to chill out, over all a very enjoyable stay, highly recommend this property, huge thanks to the owner and the cleaners for make our stay brilliant again
    Mani thanks, John n Maggie

  23. Lots of love Russ, Shaz + doggies

Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome and at home at lovely Fenside. We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here, so peaceful and relaxing. Everything we could possible need and more is here thanks to the very thoughtful and generous owners. Our dogs have enjoyed the lovely garden and all that is here to welcome them and keep them happy also. The 10 minutes walk to the lovely sandy beach each day and seeing the dogs running on the sand and surf obviously very happy and content has been total joy, living in London as we do.
Once again thank you so much for making our very first “doggy holiday” such a lovely experience.

  24. David, Alison, Andrew + Harry & Brodie

Thank you so much for providing such a lovely welcome to Fenside – we thoroughly enjoyed the human + doggy goodies, esp after our long journey. So nice that the dogs are made very welcome with lots of extras (Instead of a list of do’s and don’ts’). Location is fantastic, a short walk to a beautiful beach and places to stop for refreshments (the boys loved their doggy ice creams). We had everything we needed in the cottage – loved the peace and quiet – it really is a wrench to be heading home – wishing we’d booked for two weeks. Fenside comes highly recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy a lovely relaxing break with their doggies.
    Thanks again -xxxxx-

  25. Jim, Kim, Rolo and Lola

    To Gail and Owners
We had a very last minute short break after a disappointing week. What luck we happened on Pack Holidays and Fenside. All we could of wanted and more – super dog friendly in every way. Rolo (our rescue pup) was in his element on the beach, happiest we have seen him.

Thank you so much for providing such a great place to stay.

  26. Lorrinda, Edward, Shirley and dogs

    To Gail and owners.
Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday. Everything you need is provided and nearby. Our doggies have loved the garden and the beach. The welcome pack and doggie treats were very much enjoyed, looks like I’ll be making some liver cakes at home for the dogs. The cottage is well equipped and the beds are amazing – we have slept very well.

We will happily come back again and may even stay longer.

  27. Liz, Michael, Jamie & Millie

    Dear Gail + owners
What can we say but “wow” Fenside is truly amazing. We can see why & how you fell in love with this place. The garden is secure and the view is fabulous, Millie loves roaming around and the beach is fantastic too.

The owners attention to detail is second to none they have thought of everything. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends. Excellent 5* plus more holiday let.

  28. Adam, Clare, Eloise, Felix + dogs

Having stayed at Poets Corner last year we had very high expectations and haven’t been disappointed. Fenside is fabulous – well equipped and very comfortable with views to die for. We’ve had a lovely chilled out week and can’t wait to be back on the Norfolk coast next year. We’ve eaten out quite a lot – The Ship Inn at Mundesley, Wroxham Barn, Smallsticks is fantastic so we went twice! The staff in the local shops and cafes are all so pleasant and friendly too which is lovely. There’s been quite a lot of beach time too with the Sea Palling beach so close at hand. We also spent a day on the beach at Mundesley and visited Horsey so that we could see the seals.
Thank you again to Gail and Fenside’s owners for providing this lovely accommodation and presenting it so beautifully. As we said after our stay last year, it’s always a good sign when you stay in a dog friendly property and there is no evidence of the previous doggy residents. We will certainly continue to recommend Pack Holidays. Thank you!

  29. Chris and Elizabeth

Thanks for a lovely holiday at Fenside. We have been very lucky with the weather and have enjoyed the garden, sitting out in the sun and enjoying the view. The quick walk to the beach is fantastic. The cottage has been very comfortable for us and the dogs – Thank you for the crates – in the end they bunked down in one together. They have loved the dog beds. This has been our favourite holiday cottage (and we have been to quite a few), so we are glad we are already booked to come back

  30. Alison, Nigel and Sox

We have had the most relaxing short break here at Fenside. You have thought of everything for hoomans and dogs!! We can also recommend The Nelsons Head for a wide choice of cider after a long walk watching the seals at Horsey. Thank you so much for the Welcome Pack and Sox loved the treats and liver cake!! We look forward to visiting again.

  31. Sonja, Andrew, Bea, Ruby, Dobby and Ava

Wow! What a fantastic few days we have had. The weather has been perfect. We discovered Bacton Woods, a fantastic place for the dogs, who discovered the ponds (not quite so fantastic!)
Thank you again for the lovely welcome pack, we and the girls have enjoyed munching through it! I’m sure we will return – Thanks again

  32. Bev, Mark, Riley and Parker

Had a brilliant week, dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The local beaches are good and we would recommend seeing the seals at Horsey. The dogs loved Bacton Woods, so we went back a few times.
We also popped into Causeway Butchers. Very friendly and lovely meant, definitely recommend it.

Our first time in Norfolk, extremely dog friendly. Gail was brilliant, changing over a crate for us so quickly.

Totally relaxing and a lovely cottage to stay in.

  33. John, Jacqul, Rosie, Emelie and Terri + Harvey, Monty and Barney

Stayed at Hickling 2 weeks ago with relatives from New Zealand and this is our first time at Fenside with the family, dogs enjoyed walks on the beach each day (even at high tide) we enjoyed the ice creams (a different flavour each day) and we were lucky with the weather.
Overall, a very relaxing week and we have enjoyed our stay at Fenside so thanks to the owners for signing up with Pack Holidays, as it isn’t easy to find a place that takes more than 2 dogs!

We have left some tokens behind for next people to use as amusements

  34. David, Lynda + Nell, Ginny, Poppy and Evie

Weather has been good to us, fantastic home for the week. Ideal place to be.
Dogs has a good time on beaches and in land.

    Hope to come back again.

  35. Di, Paul, Rosie & Molly

We have had a fabulous break with our two dogs in your beautiful cottage. We have never been to a holiday home so well equipped for people and doggies. Not so with other holiday renters we have spoken to! (other properties). We will be recommending this to friends and family and would be happy to return in the future. We will also send Gail a picture of your cottage with our pup in the front. Love the beach, amazing!

  36. Mel, Sara and the furry ones, Charlie & Shade xxxx

Thank you for an amazing holiday. As ever you have thought of everything, especially during this difficult time. We’ve enjoyed lovely walks and cosy evening. We will be back again.

  37. From Mr & Mrs A – It’s a 10 out of 10

We arrived at Fenside amidst a gale force fifteen!!

Thanks to Gail and her team.

    The house was sparkling clean!

Hugo loved his walks, Bacton woods, beaches, Cart Gap, Winteront and Sea Palling ( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛). Once back at the house, he crashed in front of the fire that was roaring.

The kitchen at Fenside is very well equipped. Lucky for me, Mr A pancakes for breakfast flipped!!

The Greyhound, Lighthouse and Pleasure Boat Inn’s we tried. Very happy to say all COVID-19 safety complied.

So long to Norfolk, until we visit again

  38. Graham, Beckie & Tia

Thank you for a lovely stay, yet again. We have expolored new places and walked miles and miles. We know the timing was a bit awkward with the lockdown announced again, but Gail kept us informed and eased our worries.

  39. Stephen, Linda, Kerys, Jazz Dylan and Maisie

Thank you for another lovely stay at Fenside and for all the nice bits you left for us and the Poppyland vouchers. We love it here. Thank you all once again.

  40. Andrea & Co

Lovely cottage, fantastic views with everything you would want or need under one roof! Our evening walks along Horsey beach were fab, we were lucky enough to be greeted by a few seals coming to say ”Hello”
Overall a great week had by all and a very big ”Thank You” from one of the very reactive furbabies who was able to enjoy a peaceful week!

  41. Tracy, David, Beth, Margaret

To all of you who have made our holiday so lovely a big ”thank you”. The house is always so lovely and clean and we always enjoy being here!! See you again in August

  42. Geoff and Jan

A lovely house in an ideal situation. Everything spotless and lacking nothing that anyone could want. By far the nicest holiday cottage we have ever stayed in both for humans and dogs

  43. From Diane, Pippa, Kezzie, Grace

We have had a great time here at Fenside. The house and scenery and proximity to the beach is all we hoped for – we have to choose very carefully so that our very nervous rescue dog Grace, is as safe and comfortable here in new surroundings and she coped well with walking to the beach and meeting local dogs and owners. Everything is here in this holiday home, the cleanliness and facilities are excellent and all the dogs loved the noodle mats and dog treats! The welcome pack was very thoughtful and generous, thank you. Many thanks to you Gail, and the owners and the cleaning team.

Beautiful view from a fantastically well-equipped house. I was particularly impressed by the hangers – too many! You often get 2/3 so this was fantastic. Great Position for the sea and exploring the broads.
We had almost perfect weather – one small shower and the one heavy bout of rain, we were in the pub.
Places we enjoyed included the Dunes Care at Waxham Great Barn – very doggie friendly and great cakes. We also like the Lion at Thurne, also dogs allowed in and out, lovely food and very friendly. One thing to watch is a lot of places closed mid week so check websites. Also a lot of pubs are short staffed so book ahead or there can be a long wait for food.
Loved Bacton Woods – really pretty and quiet. Stumbled upon How Hill House – great views of river had in the tea room, several windmills and gardens (all free)

  45. Jeff, Michele, Bramble & Larna

Another amazing Pack Holiday. Really enjoy the peace and quiet at Fenside with those amazing views. As always, the house was immaculate, spotless and fully equipeed. Already booked for next year.

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely house.

None of us want to go home!

  46. Carol and Chris, Jill, Trio, Eddy, Molly and Willow

We have had a very relaxing time at Fenside. It’s so well equipped and extremely comfortable for people and the dogs and all the thoughtful goodies were a nice touch.

Please dont raise the fence in the garden, you have such a fantastic view and I was able to study 16 cranes with my binoculars whilst sitting in the armchair. Bliss!

  47. Tracy, David, Bethany and Margaret, Buster, Ziggy, Doug and Teddy

Once again what an amazing holiday we have had. House, as always spotless. Gail and team always go that extra mile and more. Weather has been lovely, loads of walking on the beach. If you want an amazing meal, go to Smallsticks Cafe, so friendly and very reasonably priced for food which is cooked to perfection. This is our 9th or 10th visit to Fenside and also booked for next year. Pack Holidays are just so perfect for us as a family and our 4 doggies. Just love it here, the garden is so well used for chasing round and round gate gate playing. Jane and Annette take so much trouble to make it a home from home. See you soon, Love

  48. The Marrison Family

Third time visiting Fenside and just like the first time that we visited we were impressed once again. From the house being spotless upon our arrival, to the close proximity to the beach and sea, it was a great holiday away. There was all sorts to do, we spent time in Norwich shopping; went to Great Yarmouth and overall we just relaxed in our “home away from home”
    Thank you So Much
