Treetops is a 3 star Reactive Friendly Pack Holidays cottage. Here are the reasons why, but also more importantly, what aspects of the cottage may not be suitable for your reactive. Treetops is situated in a very quiet area, in Honing village.Fences and hedging are all secure and all more than 6 feet high. The garden is not overlooked due to the height. The garden is accessed directly from the dining area doors or kitchen (stable) door and dogs can be seen /supervised directly from this room, the living room and the rear upstairs bedroom. There are a number of quiet walks nearby and clearly signposted bridle path routes, some of which avoid the village and route throughout the countryside.Whilst there is farmland nearby we have had no evidence of bird scarers in the past few years. There is no well-travelled/coastal route going past the house and it is very peaceful.

We stayed for 2 weeks. We want to stay forever. The perfect place to unwind with lots of walks on the doorstep[. This cottage is a credit to everyone from the owners, to the cleaners, to Pack Holidays.
Sad to be going home but happy that we have found this fantastic cottage. Back as soon as we can! Thanks
PS thank you for the lovely welcome pack and treats for the doggies which they enjoyed

  2. Claire, David, Paddy and Renn

5th time at Treetops, it’s like coming home as so comfortable and quiet, we came back as Honing is the ideal place for us to use as a base so close to the beach walks and easy to get to our favourite places to visit and walk the dogs – Blakeney, Felbrigg House -always a great place to walk the dogs – so many different ways to go especially if its muddy.
Weavers Way is so close and we’re always finding new walks to follow that way
Lovely fresh veg and bread from AG Meale and Sons and enjoyed lunch at Veras Coffee shop whilst we were there, would recommend
Its lovely to come to a place which is ideal for us and our dogs, always look forward to coming back to this lovely house which is always spotless and kept in amazing condition by Stephen and gang.

  3. Jenny, Andy, Jasper and Obi

What a beautiful house Lovely garden just right for our nervous bouncy boy.
The dog shower was a treat after muddy field walks and sandy beach fun
We had a great roast takeaway from The Butchers Arms but the next day walk to return to the pub turned into an off road adventure thanks to the bridge out
We look forward to visiting again
Check out @obi_lab_kanobi for our holiday fun

  4. Dennis and my holiday facilitators

    Dennis the cocker spaniel here!
What a holiday! First visit to Norfolk and we LOVE it! I’ve had the best days of my life running on long, long beaches – sun on my back, wind in my ears.
I love the village, it is so peaceful and I’ve had great walks in the countryside. The house and garden is just perfect for me and my ‘hoomans’. Very well equipped and so comfortable.
Everything has been considered – the warm tap outside is a real bonus
Thank you for a wuffly holiday. We will come back.

  5. Caz, Sachin and Maisie

Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful, thoughtfully designed home. It was truly a pleasure to cook in such a well provisioned kitchen and collapse into such comfortable beds after windswept dog walks on the beaches
We enjoyed Bacton, Winterton and Cart Gap. And so did our rescue, Maisie. She really appreciated the tranquility of the surroundings and having a garden to roam around in. We may be back…….

  6. Ros and Jo and Pickle and Pixie

Excellent home to visit the fantastic beaches and woods in the area. Lovely house with everything in it that you need for the dogs and owners. Plus the super welcome basket. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you to Gail and the owners.

  7. Sue and Mike

We have had such a lovely stay at Treetops. The house is so comfy and well equipped
    Beds are so cosy
We appreciated the extra dog beds and towels and the doggy hose came in handy for sure!
Stephen also went to get us a cafetiere which we very much appreciated
Our dogs have loved it here, they have enjoyed walking along Weavers Way each morning – you may see a deer or two and a cyclist but it is very quiet.
Our favourite beaches are Waxham, Cart Gap and Bacton – all very quiet plus lovely barn cafe at Waxham and cafe at Cart Gap. Also recommend Veras Farm Shop for lunch, Wayford Bridge for dinner plus a visit to Felbrigg Hall
Thank you for the welcome pack much appreciated.
Hope to be back next year

We had a lovely two weeks at Treetops. The cottage was really comfortable and very well equipped.
We would like to thank the owner for the lovely welcome basket, very much appreciated.
The cottage was ideally situated to visit the Broads and other places of interest. Even though the cottage was situated in a village, it was so quiet and peaceful. The dogs enjoyed the secure garden too.
As usual, Gail and Pack Holidays were a pleasure to deal with and always so considerate to your needs.

  10. The Wilsons / Foremans and ‘Scooby Dog’

Our first time staying at Treetops and what a lovely, homely property.
Tastefully furnished (loved the colours) and well equipped. Secure garden and doggy extras were very appreciated as well as the great welcome basket of goodies on our arrival. The biscuits were so delicious. Scooby dog couldnt resist his treats too.
Found Norfolk to be very dog friendly, from cafes, beaches, shops, boat trips, train rides. Will definitely visit again.
A big thank you from all of us

  11. Les, Sue, Nibby and Jasper

What a fantastic property – excellent!!! Brilliant walks, although mudddy, but the warm dog water tap was perfect.
This is a FIRST CLASS property, well equipped and warm. Thank you for the welcome basket. Perfect location to explore Norfolk. Thank you so much

  12. Jane

A lovely relatively few days in a rural setting. So quiet and peaceful. Good location for getting out and about and exploring. We went to Cart Gap beach and walked along to Happisburgh. Bacton Woods, Winterton dunes walk and then dinner at the Fishermans. Lovely walk from Sea Palling to Waxham Barns for breakfast. Also had dinner at Cross Keys and Lighthouse Inn. Excellent takeaway from Oasis 2 at Stalham. We loved the Weavers Way / Honing Lock circular walk beautiful 2 hour walk with so much wildlife but unfortunately on both occassions our dogs developed reactions to the nettles but gave them Piritol. Very comfortable home with everything you would need.

  13. Elizabeth

We had a great Easter Weekend at Treetops. Peaceful and quiet location and a lovely, modern cottage with a great kitchen. We enjoyed beach trips in the morning (Happisburgh, Winterton and Sea Palling) and walks
straight from the front door along Weaver’s Way in the evening with some chilling in the garden in between.
It’s a great base to explore the area, we only had three days and were spoilt for choice.

  14. Sara, Tony and Ryan with lurchers Nahla and Joseph

We’ve had an amazing week here at Treetops. First class accommodation, super comfy beds, and absolutely everything we needed. Steve and Gail couldnt have been more helpful when we had an issue with the dog shower hose leaking at the tap. We holiday in this area with our lurchers every year, but I dont think we’ve ever had such wonderful walks right on our doorstep. (Our two are well and truly exhausted). We had a lovely lunch in the Red Lion in Cromer, and also visited The Dunes Cafe in Waxham Barns a few times. Thank you for providing such a cosy, comfortable base to explore this beautiful area. And also for the welcome basket of goodies – something in there for everyone!

  15. Sheryl, Craig, Maz and Ceris and Gracey and Charlie Woof!

We just loved the house. Very well equipped kitchen. Thank you for the goody basket. We wished we had booked for a little longer! We have stayed in alot of dog friendly houses in Norfolk and this one we will recommend to our doggy friends

  16. The Black Family & Whippets

Wonderful, modern Treetops is a beautiful cottage with top-spec interior! We especially loved the kitchen with double oven that twinned as grill and microwave. It has a great dog safe garden with secure gate.
Spacious home, fabulously comfy beds, cosy sofas and great family dining table.
Stephen, the owner is close by and very friendly with local recommendations and advice.
We enjoyed yummy cakes at Veras coffee shop, near Stalham, 10 minute drive away, really scrumptious fish and chips at The Ship Inn, Mundesley, very dog friendly pub with large outdoor garden area, but book well ahead, Spent at Wells-Next-The-Sea, glorious beach, dog friendly and very popular.
Had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it to all. Appreciated the lovely welcome hamper, many thanks!

  17. The Yardley Family

Lovely house and tranquil location, dogs happy. Bacton beach is great for dogs with pay and display car park next to the gas terminal which is better for dogs as the beach is quicker. Hill House pub in Happisburgh is good for lunch. Recruiting Sergeant pub is good for dinner. Sea Palling and Mundesley are good for swimming. Thank you

  18. Diane, Liley, Elsa & Bobby

Thank you for the glueten free welcome basket which was very much appreciated!

We had a lovely week. There are great walks from the cottage and lovely dog friendly beaches near by.

    Thank you!

  19. Rebecca, Jason, Matthew, Edward & Barney

We had a lovely stay, despite the weather not being great. The Weaver’s Way is great for walking the dog (drier if go right towards Honing Station, which is also interesting). We did do the canal circular walk which is a lovely walk, but very wet!

    Our recommendations?

Doggie Diner at Cromer – Barney had an afternoon tea to celebrate his 3rd birthday! Its small so worth booking (on website)

Beach at West Runton. Very small part is dog free walk right behond the crowds and it’s great for a paddle and chasing a ball.

We also enjoyed an evening walk at Mundesely Beach.

Bacton Woods – good for a walk (1 hour max), Way markers are a bit hit and miss but difficult to get totally lost, it’s not huge.

We enjoyed North Norfolk Railway Dogs are allowed

Also Merrivale Model Village in Great Yarmouth.

We ate at the Ship Inn, Mundesley. Large garden, dogs welcome in front bar too.

Also Camelia Cottage in Sheringham did lovely food and dogs welcome in garden.

Loved the house, very comfy, well stocked kitchen and perfect garden for keeping the Collie happy.

  20. David & Family

We’ve had a wonderful holiday this week, and wanted to let you know that Treetops is a fantastic property, probably the best cottage we have stayed in in Norfolk!

Cart Gap is a great beach, nice and quiet and plenty of space for the dogs to run about. Walking along the beach to the Lighthouse at Happisburgh and back again is a lovely way to spend the afternoon.

Holt is always worth visiting, with lots of small coffee shops and slightly further on is Blakeney. There is a really good walk alongside the seat to Cley.

The weather was so good this week, we enjoyed relaxing in the garden every morning.

This is such a wonderful cottage to stay. We’ll definitely be booking here again!!

  21. Julie, Ray, Cluney Bear & Betty Boo xxxx 😊

Treetops is a wonderful property to stay in. Our two dogs loved it too. There are plenty of circular walks from the property which were perfect as the panic buying for fuel was at fever pitch during our stay!!

All the beaches we visited were lovely a nd most places were dog friendly.

I’ve not been to Norfolk since the 1980’s. We were not disappointed.

A great week away. Thank you

  22. Anonymous

Another lovely cottage – loved staying here – ultra relaxing, loved all the walks included in the cottage book – so many lovely ones.

Treetops is beautifully deocrated and very comfortable beds and furniture.

    Will be back!!

  23. Sarah, Adam, Sebastian and Flash (our collie)

Perfect village for a weeks break. We enjoyued sitting in the quiet, secure garden and evening walks on local footpaths.

The house was comfortable and easy to relax in and keep clean from our dogs. We appreciated the doggie extra’s, as did they. Thank you.

In regards to the local area we did not need to venture far and it was very easy for a first holiday with our ‘teenage’ pup.

We enjoyed the beaches at Sea Palling, Bacton and Happisburgh (great play area too for our 8 year old). Horsey Gap was a great place to enjoy the seals from afar (they were on the beach).

We hired a bota from Simpson’s at Stalham, a lovely way to spend the afternoon, and also spent an afternoon on the narrow guage railway at Wroxham with lunch at the end of the line in Aylsham, fully recommend The Old Tea Rooms for a relaxing snack & cake!

A lovely family relaxing break, in a lovely house.

    Thank you very much.

  24. Gina, Tim, Willow 🐾 & Monty 🐾

Treetops is a beautifully appointed house with all you could need day to day living provided. The garden is wonderfully secure for the dogs and offers a good degree of seclusion.

Coming as we do from an area where much can be put in the recycling bin, it would be handy to have a list of can/cannots as I know not all of the country takes all of the waste (plastics & foil, for example)

Recommend a sunday roast from the Butcher’s Arms, pre-order and collect but great value at £8 pp for two courses.

Loved walking on the weavers way. Great “pub grub” at the Cross Keys.

All in all, a fantastica, relaxing, comfortable week.

  25. Dee & Pack!

Loved staying here – so peaceful. Cottage was perfect, comfy beds, beautifully decorated and so many great walks from the door.

Garden was perfect for the dogs – just great for us.

    Will be back 😀

  26. The Kennetts & Kellys

A lovely cottage great location, plenty of walking. Lovely day on the broads for a day. Great weather as well.

Went to see the seals (Horsey beach) well worth a visit.

Cross Keys pub is closed for food on a Monday night.

  27. The Newells

We loved the quality bedding, towels and everything in the house. The garden was perfect for our tiny dogs and our spaniel. Two minutes’ walk to Weavers’s Way was the icing on the cake. A walk that wasn’t muddy even after the rain was great.

We highly recommend Treetops and Honing to anyone with reactive dogs. Our barky chihuahua only baked occasionally, the quiet was bliss.

    Thank you

  28. The Black Family

Wonderful modern Treetops is a beautiful cottage with top spec interior. Spacious home, fabulously comfy beds, cosy sofas and great family dining table. Recommend cake at Vera’s Coffee Shop, fish and chips at The Ship Inn at Mundesley and a beautiful day at the beach at Wells Next The Sea

Had a wonderful stay and highly recommend to all. Appreciated the welcome hamper.

    Many thanks

  29. Melissa & Jackie

We had a wonderful stay at treetops the house is immaculate and beautiful and a short drive away from the main beaches with other walks on the doorstep. It’s pupping season at the moment so Horsey Beach was closed but you could watch the mother seals and babies via the viewing points marked out.

The garden is a nice size and fully enclosed sufficiently enough for our 2 escapologist Chihuahuas.

Everything you could possibly need is provided and everything was cleaned and laundered down to the cushion covers in the lounge and during these covid times it makes everything seem even safer.

A basket was left out for us with fresh bread, jams and delicious biscuits along with milk in the fridge.

One of our party of 2 had an accident on the day before going home and we were given extra time to clear out of the house which was much appreciated.

Gail is extremely helpful and if you ask her for any particular requirements, she will absolutely do her best to make sure they are provided.

    Big up to Pack Holidays.

We are so sad to be going home! We have loved staying in this cottage, the location is perfect and so quiet! We have enjoyed our daily walks with our dogs on Weaver’s Way, it’s great for reactive dogs as we never saw any other dogs on our walks and if we did, plenty of opportunity to take a different path to avoide them.

We visited Mundesley and Cromer (Doggie Diner @ Cromer is fab!) We ate at Crosskeys which was lovely and staff super friendly. We also ate at The Ship Inn, Mundesley, food was nice but can only eat with dogs in the bar are which was really crammed!!

Treetops is super clean, comfy and cosy, love the decor and fully appreciated our welcome goodies.

    Thank you X

  31. The Taskers and Ralph 🐾

Thank you for a fabulous stay at Treetops. The high spec cottage was cosy and clean, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds! Dog towels were much appreciated as was the welcome basket and hand soap! We ate at Vera’s (the afternoon tea was amazing), The Star at Lessingham (huge portions and friendly staff) and the Cross Keys (again generous portions and lovely staff). Local walks are great and we even spotted deer a few times! We love Norfolk and again Pack Holidays did not disappoint!

    Thank You!

  32. Nigel, Alyson and Harley x

We’ve had a great week at Treetops. It’s a beautiful cottage and is so peaceful and quiet.

Really appreciated the info on the walls in the local area. There are plenty to choose from.

Can recommend the tea room at the Corner House in West Runton for great food and a warm welcome.

    We will definitely be back

  33. Ash, Mark and Kids 🙂

Thank you for a lovely week at Treetops… it really has felt like a home away from home. The house was so comfy and you thought of all the little extras that make a difference to us and the dog!

The house has been a great base to explore the sights of Norfolk. We have enjoyed the many beaches, hot doughnuts at sea palling, the seals at Horsey ahd the Doggie Diner at Cromer

    We will be back

  36. Fred, Del, Hawk and Fllnt, the rivage flatcoated retrivers 🐾

What can we say about this wonderful holiday home? Just fabulous in every way, the decor is outstanding, well done to Steve and Claire for all their hard work in achieving such a high standard. We had the pleasure of meeting Steve on our arrival and he made us feel very welcome. We did have some fun trying to work out how the ovens worked but we got there in the end. The garden was perfectly safe for the dogs and we appreciated the dog shower as it was used quite a number of times. We visited Cart Gap, Bacton and Holkham, the beach at Bacton was fantastic for the dogs. The weather was more than kind to us in fact a couple of days it was far too hot for our dogs, both being hairy and black. All in all, a very chiled holiday. Thank you Steve, Claire and Gail at Pack Holidays for making it possible

  37. Guy, Temj ad Alex and Fluke

Wonderfully comfortable property, everything we needed. Beautifully decorated and so quiet! Garnden perfect as enclosed and safe. We enjoyed Norfolk very much, very dog friendly! Lovely beaches especially as the weather was kind!

Absolutely wonderful week at Treetops, second time for us, so comfortable and has everything we could ever need. the weather was great too (one day relaxing here out of the rain is not a problem!) Garden is fantastic for the dogs, we know they’re safe and secure whilst we are in the house. Such a convenient location for us to get to lots of our favourite places Felbrigg Hall, Cart Gap beach, Weavers Way walks, also Alby Crafts where we had a lovely lunch and a good nosey around Cant wait to come back in September to Treetops. Thank you!

  39. Claire, David, Renn, Paddy and Ted

Third time at Treetops, just as lovely as ever. A great pace to stay and use as our base. Weather held out until Thursday but we managed lots of lovely walks and visits to Felbrigg, Holkham and Happisburgh to Cart Gap beaches and lovely walks along Weavers Way. Thank you to everyone who looks after Treetops, beautifully clean and to Gail for making booking so easy.
