Reactive Dog Guide
Laverock Lodge is situated on a working farm with sheep, hens, ducks and geese. Please be aware of this if your dogs are animal reactive. There is a fully enclosed front garden and the high stone and fence wall (approx 6 feet high) separates Sheephaven Cottage from Laverock Lodge. There is access to a 6 acre dog playfield with views onto the open fells. Exclusive use access to the paddock is by raising the flag at the entrance to the field to alert the owners if your dog is reactive and needs sole space in the paddock. If your dog has no recall, you have an 8 feet high deer fenced paddock just to the right of the cottage. There is also a 120 foot indoor agility arena for those who are trained in agility or those who would like a lesson

The Wellingtons –
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Laverock Cottage. Peaceful and relaxing time spent with our 3 dogs who loved the dog fields getting dirty, wet and then enjoying the warm shower and dryer before chilling out in front of the log burner – doggy heaven! Perfect location and beautiful scenery. Weather a bit wet at first but we didn’t care, it came out dry eventually. Than you
