We had a lovely Bank holiday weekend at Granby Cottage. We’re a family with adult children & their partners.
The communication throughout has been excellent from booking, to departure. The house is in a lovely
location right in the centre of the town, right opposite a friendly pub that serves excellent food. There are
plenty of walks from the house. The house itself is open plan which is great for the sociable break we wanted.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you’d need for cooking, the beds are comfortable and showers
warm & powerful. We were lucky with the weather during our stay so spent a lot of time relaxing in the
beautiful garden. Would definitely recommend Granby Cottage

Such a peaceful few days at Granby Cottage – it’s an imaginative combination of old and new,
very comfortable and well appointed. Location is perfect – so quiet, just a few minutes stroll into
Tideswell . Would recommend without hesitation

We had a wonderful stay for a birthday celebration. The cottage was perfectly located in a pretty
village, we could walk to a bakery, shop and several pubs. We enjoyed the hospitality and food
in the pub a few steps from the cottage, it was so lovely to pop in there for a drink too. The
cottage is spacious and well thought out with a large utility room, well equipped kitchen with a
range style hob, we cooked and then all sat together in the atrium dining room, very
atmospheric. The downstairs bedroom & bathroom was perfect for our elderly parents.
Bedrooms and bathroom facilities were super. An unexpected pleasure was to sit in the terraced
garden in the sunshine, We loved everything about our stay at the cottage including Nicky’s
responsiveness and allowing us flex in the check in/out times.

We had a great family weekend away at Granby Cottage. We’ve stayed in Tideswell before but needed a
bigger place this year and this fitted the bill. Comfortable beds, powerful showers, a big open plan living and
dining space and a lovely garden……..we managed to drink morning tea out there in the sunshine even
though it was only March! The cottage was very clean and welcoming, warm and well equipped and relaxing.
Nicky was helpful and responded quickly. Great walks right from the door and good pubs in the village. We
hope to visit again next year!

What a beautiful home in a beautiful village. Couldn’t have asked for more, great pubs and
lovely walks, which Nicky had helpfully had printed out to help us decide. Cannot recommend
this place enough. I feel in love with Tideswell. Granby cottage was clean and well presented,
had lots of information on local pubs and attractions and is perfect place to explore the peak
district. Nicky was the perfect host and will definitely stay here again!

We were a family group plus dog celebrating special birthdays and chose Granby Cottage for its location and
facilities. We were delighted with the spotlessly clean accommodation and layout. Plenty of space for comfy
socialising including a great kitchen/diner and a beautiful garden. The bedrooms worked well for us and
having a ground floor bedroom plus shower room was handy. Lovely decor , a well stocked kitchen and utility
room and a thoughtful welcome basket. Location is perfect in charming Tideswell. Handy local buses, Co-Op
and we highly recommend The Star right opposite! Many thanks for a very enjoyable stay.

host.

We had a wonderful Christmas stay at the cottage. We were 6 adults, 1 baby and 2 dogs and for very
comfortably. The location in the town is great and lots of nice walks nearby or towns to visit. Perfect place to
spend a Christmas away. I am sure we will be back to explore more of the Peak District!

Absolutely fantastic weekend, cottage was perfectly located for walks, pubs, shops. We had the fire lit and some delicious home cooked food on the Aga! Family time at its best, Nikki was super helpful through out, couldn’t fault it!

Granby Cottage is absolutely delightful. Perfectly located in the heart of Tideswell (opposite the pub no less!) Close to a Coop supermarket, local bakery, butchers and an amazing chippie.
The cottage is more spacious then the pictures let on, with a cosy sitting area with gorgeous log fire, that leads to a large kitchen with a dining table. We went for Christmas and managed to feed 8 round it no problem.
Definitely recommended, a magical place.

Beautiful house with stylish and sociable layout. Good strong hot showers – ideal after a long walk. One of our party tried out the luxurious slipper bath. Great space for 3 family parties (6 adults, a toddler and 2 babies in our case). I’m a light sleeper and I didn’t hear a peep from the pub over the road, even on NYE.

Tideswell is a beautiful village with everything you could need. There are a lot of walks and pubs in the area. The cottage is very nice and spacious but cosy. The garden is fantastic (although it was a bit cold for us to make the most of that!

Absolutely loved our stay at Granby Cottage. Perfect place to host 3 families over the Xmas period. We even cooked Christmas dinner. Short if nothing, very well thought out, cottage was beautiful inside, spacious but also cosy. Loved location and the Star Inn over the road is also an added bonus. Would definitely love to return.
