Reactive Dog Guide
Avocet is a 2 Star Reactive Friendly Cottage, heading very much towards a 3 Star. It is in a residential street with plenty of street parking. Exit your dogs from the car on leads and once inside Avocet they are secure. The rear garden (accessed from the kitchen patio doors) is VERY secure, with solid fencing at 6 feet high all around. Whilst there are neighbours on one side, it is a very quiet street with little activity. The beach is a 5 min walk away and the beach itself is dog friendly all year round

There is plenty of quiet on-street parking right outside. As you step through the front door, the long, beautiful hallway with its original Victorian cornicing sets the tone for a very special stay.

This room is the heart of the cottage’s character. It’s been lovingly restored with an oak-beamed fireplace and a realistic electric stove that adds a lovely glow to your evenings. Settle into the comfy two-seater sofa or the rocking chair and catch up on your favorite shows on the large Smart TV.

Clare has designed this kitchen for people who truly love to cook. It’s modern, elegant, and fully equipped:

The garden at Avocet is a real standout. It’s very secure, with 6ft high solid fencing all around, meaning you can relax while your dogs explore.

The Details: There’s a neat patio area and a path leading to a rear gate, framed by pretty shrubs and borders.

Avocet is a 2-Star Reactive Friendly property. It’s located on a quiet residential street with very little through-traffic.
Arrival: We recommend exiting your dogs from the car on leads, but once they are through the front door, they are safe and secure.
Garden Privacy: The 6ft solid fencing means your dogs won't be distracted by passers-by or neighbors' movements while they are in the back garden.
The Beach: Pakefield beach is wonderfully wide and uncrowded, making it a great spot for dogs who need a bit more personal space.

Is it really okay for senior dogs? Yes! Because it’s a ground-floor apartment with no internal stairs and a secure, level garden, it’s one of our most popular choices for older dogs.
Where do I park? There is ample, free on-street parking right outside the property on Morton Road. It’s a quiet street, so finding a spot is usually a breeze.
How secure is the fence? It is a solid 6ft fence all the way around. Unless you have a world-class high-jumper, your pups will be very safe!

A perfect stay, dog friendly, you wont be disappointed. This home is marvellous and Clare is excellent at communicating. The location is perfect, just minutes to walk to the beach, ample free parking outside the property, excellent design throughout the property, just perfect!

Wonderful stay at Avocet!! Both the property and Clare exceeded expectations! Avocet was perfect for a few days away with my dog! Beautiful decor, extremely well equipped, a fantastic location (2 mins from the beach) and a wonderful host who thought of every little detail and communicated brilliantly throughout. Plenty of parking outside and a handy corner shop too!

A two night stay in heaven! Our first visit but definitely wont be our last! We were looking to escape the madness of real life and Avocet allowed us to do that
Walked by the sea, visited lots of little places as well as the likes of Southwold. The bed was super comfy and we ate in the apartment as there was everything we needed. POSSIBLY THE BEST PLACE WE HAVE EVER STAYED.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We decided last minute to go away for the weekend, I came across the beautiful Avocet apartment and I am so glad I did! The secure garden was ideal for our dog. The apartment is beautiful, it had everything we needed and its right next to the beautiful Pakefield beach
