Reactive Dog Guide
The private patio area is fenced to a height of 4 feet (the lower 1.5 has small block fencing and the upper part is open). There is an enclosed grassed area for you and your dogs to use. This is fenced (one side rabbit meshed)

Arrival
Parking is available right outside the cottage, making arrival easy and convenient—especially helpful when travelling with dogs and luggage.
Living Room / Kitchen / Dining Area
The cottage features a spacious open-plan living area with a vaulted ceiling, creating a bright and relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy a comfortable fabric reclining sofa and chair, gas central heating, and a cosy wood-burning stove—perfect for warming up after countryside walks with your dog.
You’ll find a selection of local guidebooks and maps to help you plan dog-friendly walks and days out in the Peak District.
The modern, well-equipped kitchen includes an air fryer, dishwasher, freezer, and plenty of storage for groceries. A dining table and chairs offer a comfortable space for romantic dinners or leisurely breakfasts before exploring the surrounding countryside.
Bedroom
The restful bedroom features a king-size bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, TV, and a chest of drawers. An inviting armchair and additional books provide a quiet nook for relaxing.
The ensuite bathroom includes a whirlpool bath and a separate shower cubicle, ideal for unwinding after long days of walking.
Conservatory (with Door to Rear Garden)
The conservatory is a peaceful place to sit back and enjoy the gorgeous countryside views. Double doors open directly onto your private, dog-friendly patio, enclosed to around 4 feet (with block fencing at the lower level). It’s a wonderful sun-trap where you and your dogs can relax safely.
Gardens
Enjoy a secure, enclosed grassed garden for dogs to play and explore. One side is rabbit-meshed for added safety—perfect for energetic dogs or those with a curious streak.
14 Acres of Private Grounds
The cottage sits within 14 acres of private land, giving you and your dogs ample room to wander through fields, meadows, and stream-side paths. It’s an ideal setting for off-lead exploring where safe, peaceful morning walks, and wildlife spotting.
Gym
A gated pathway from the patio leads to a log cabin housing a well-equipped mini gym. Facilities include a cross trainer, exercise bike, multi-gym, bench, and free weights—ideal for guests who wish to keep active during their stay.
Coarse Fishing On-Site
For a restful change of pace, enjoy exclusive access to a fully stocked coarse fishing pond just a short stroll from the cottage. Whether you’re an experienced angler or complete beginner, it offers a wonderfully calm setting.
Wildlife enthusiasts will love spotting kingfishers, green woodpeckers, and other birdlife around the pond and stream—right on your doorstep.

We had a great stay at Allmore and highly recommend it.
Wonderful cottage tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Beautiful setting and views. Lots of birds to sit and watch. Extremely peaceful. Fabulous hosts who were so warm and welcoming. Great selection of books and games and a well equipped gym.

The only thing we didnt get to try in this heatwave was the log burner – LOVE a log burner – maybe next time!

Conquered the Rudyard Lake walk today – longest walk ever for our two – It was fabulously shady and cool! Many thans for all the advice also. We really hope to see you again
