When You Arrive Your holiday begins in your allocated parking spot right outside Sparrows Roost. For maximum peace of mind, the parking area is fenced to 1.8 metres, enclosing it from the road and fields. From the car, a sheltered pathway leads you between a lush beech hedge directly into your private, secure orchard garden. Open Plan Kitchen & Living Area The first thing you’ll notice is the incredible light. Wide double French doors and dual-aspect windows seamlessly blend the indoors with the surrounding wildflower meadows. We’ve focused on "Local Luxury" here—the handcrafted leather sofas were sourced in nearby Penzance, and the easy-clean Karndean floors mean you don't have to worry about the odd muddy paw print.

On chilly evenings, light the remote-control electric fireplace and settle in with the 50-inch Smart TV (Netflix/YouTube ready). The kitchen is a chef's dream, fully fitted with a ceramic hob, dishwasher, and washing machine.

The Bedrooms Continuing the stylish theme, there are two double bedrooms, both on the ground level. One features a Superking zip-and-link bed, and the second a King zip-and-link. Both feature Hypnos mattresses—the gold standard for a great night's sleep. Because they are zip-and-link, we can set them up as large doubles or twin singles to suit your family perfectly.

The Walk-In Shower Room Designed with accessibility in mind, the ensuite features a generous 1200 x 1000mm walk-in shower. It is fully equipped with a shower stool and grab rails, along with a WC and sink also featuring grab rails—making it a stress-free space for guests with mobility needs.

The Garden & Orchard This is where Sparrows Roost truly shines. The flat, enclosed orchard garden features a pergola, a patio for alfresco dining, and a charcoal BBQ. Fencing is 2 metres high in places (minimum 5ft elsewhere). (Please note the view from the cottage to the orchard is obscured by the beech hedge).   The warm water outdoor dog shower is located here—a game-changer for cleaning off that fine Cornish sand! Beyond the garden gate, you have 36 acres of private land to explore, including the new hardcore pathway for wheelchairs and pushchairs leading to the woods and ponds.

Is Sparrows Roost really dog-friendly? Absolutely. Like all Pack Holidays properties, dogs stay FREE. We welcome 6 dogs as standard and don't believe in "no-go" zones. We even provide furniture throws so they can join you for a cuddle on the leather sofas.

How secure is the garden for reactive dogs? The orchard garden is fully enclosed with a minimum fence height of approx. 5ft (rising to 2m in places). For even more security, the parking area is also fenced to 1.8m. Plus, there are two onsite paddocks fenced up to 2m for totally safe off-lead exercise.

Can we reach the beach easily? Yes! You are in the "narrowest part" of Cornwall, meaning you can reach the stunning North Coast (think Hayle's 3 miles of golden sand) or the calmer South Coast beaches in just 10 minutes by car.

Tell me about the Nature Tours! Helen & Rich are passionate about the environment. They have planted 30 acres of wildflowers to encourage bees, butterflies, and dragonflies. If you'd like to learn about the bug hotels, the ponds, or the rare saplings, Helen offers private tours to share her "little slice of Eden."

Is there a cafe nearby? There is a lovely seasonal cafe right on site! Please note it takes a short winter break from mid-December to February half term.
