Trysor Coach House, Sarnau, Ceredigion in Wales
This stunning and luxurious cottage (and it IS luxurious!) is a heritage stone coach house which Joy, the owner, has beautifully converted. There are stunning sea views from this position on the edge of Sarnau village, and only a mile from the spectacular Ceredigion coastline and beaches.
You have a lovely farm shop and cafe selling local Welsh produce just a half mile walk along the footpath, and an outdoor shop selling outdoor gear. It is a miles walk to the beach but if you fancy a little more to explore, Cardigan is 15 minutes away with two large supermarkets, eateries and a wonderful restored Norman fortress that has the best restaurant for miles
If you weren’t aware, Trysor means ‘treasure’ and what a treasure this gorgeous dog welcoming cottage is! The dog friendly beaches encompass the Wales Coastal Path – the most perfect place to get away from it all!

Reactive Dog Guide
The garden is very secure with 5 feet high solid fencing around the front. Our lovely owner has 4 Cocker Spaniels so knows all about how to keep dogs secure. The rear (smaller) garden is secure to 4.5 feet high (dry stone dyke) but if your dogs can jump this, there are two secure gates to the side (separating front and rear garden). Please do be aware of neighbours if you have barky dogs
Accessibility guide
The cottage is on two floors. There is one step into the cottage entrance and one step out of the conservatory and all bedrooms are upstairs. Please speak to Gail if you have any questions around accessibility

The dining room has formal seating for 6 and the oak doors can be fully opened up so that you can dine in one kitchen / dining area. The dining room has a high ceiling and (a bit of history coming up....) the original arch that the horses and carts would have trundled through when the carriage house was constructed!
Living Room
The living room has oak flooring and beams, a lovely stone fireplace with a wood burner and very comfortable seating for 6. The TV is a Samsung Smart TV 45 inches. There are french doors separating the living room from the conservatory, and that allows lots of natural light to flood through, even when the doors are closed. There is extra space if you have an infant in a cot.. A door opens onto the external steps - these are decorative and there is a chain at the bottom of the stairs. That is not an entrance to the cottage.
Second Double Bedroom
This bedroom has a king sized bed with a Hypnos mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets for your comfort. You also have fabulous sea views from the window. There is a chest of drawers and hanging space for storage
Third Bedroom

Louise –
What a lovely well appointed cottage which had everything we needed. Great location for visiting some beautiful places
My favourite beach was Llangrannog, simpyl stunning!
The welcome goodies were very much appreciated and the dogs enjoyed their treats too! Nice to visit a cottage that really did make the boys feel welcome
Glenda –
A lovely cosy cottage which was comfortable for both of us and the dogs. The garden was secure and everything was provided for us. The house was clean and well equipped but still welcoming for the dogs with throws etc available. The tall baby gates at the bottom of the stairs was really good. Access to a dog friendly beach was great at Aberporth, as parking was close by and a beach shower for rinsing humans and canines alike. Thanks Joy for a lovely week

We stayed at Trysor Cottage for 11 nights over Christmas. Joy went out of her way to put up Christmas decorations and left us with mulled wine, chocolates and other treats which was a lovely touch. We came away with our three dogs which she also left treats for and they loved it! We found the cottage ticked all of our boxes extremely spacious for the 5 of us and very well equipped. The surrounding areas had plenty of places to visit including lovely beaches, all within a short drive. Thank you so much for accommodating us, we hope to be back in the future xx

We stayed for 4 nights and it was the most peaceful, comfy, clean stay we have had! A lovely Coach House so big and roomy, log burner in the front room, toasty warm, games and cards and VDs for a relaxing family night, good selection
Ruby and Bruce loved it, safe and secure for them to wander out of the conservatory and the front garden.
Pembryn beach so close by, lovely clean beach with a cafe available called the Plump Tart.
The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom has a huge bath and super powerful shower
Everything was spotlessly clean, even had doggy treats and marmalade and teabags supplied with our welcome pack, there is an app you can download with very useful information, maps local places etc etc came in very handy when deciding where to visit.
The Coach House is perfect for a relaxing time on your holiday, will recommend it to everyone
Thank you so much came home alot less stressed

We have stayed in alot of places which say they are dog friendly only for them to be dog accommodating rather than dog welcoming. Trysor Holiday cottage goes above and beyond to make it a special break for both 2 and 4 legged guests.
There was nothing we didnt need, everything had been thought of. Seecure garden for the pupsters, blankets for sofas if you forget yours. Kitchen had everything you need – airfryer and slow cooker great additions!
Beds were super comfy, and everything was clean and welcoming
The area is beautiful. Lovely walks and beaches as well as some culture if thats what you are after
Plus the local farm shop has some lush produce and is a 5/10 minute walk away
My working cocker is definitely a beach lover whilst my sprocker much more loving the walks in the open so perfect for both
We dont often return somewhere but we would go back here in a heartbeat! Joy has made an amazingly welcome place for a holiday. Ive already spread the word to my family and friends

My family and I spent Christmas here and it was just magical, Joy couldnt have been more accommodating and her little welcome pack was the cutest, including local prouce for the homans, doggie treats for 9 furry babies and a Christmas gift for Archie my 2 year old nephew was a really lovely touch
The Coach House is beautifully done and very homely. Decorated for Christmas was a real home from home experience
The dogs loved it! Only 5 mins drive to the beach (you can walk it but my 4 legged friends are tiny!) The most beautiful beach where we spent Boxing day was just perfect
Thank you Joy, would highly recommend for any dog parents looking for a great holiday x

We have just had the most wonderful 10 days at Trysor
A superb cottage in a fab location, it is incredibly well equipped and dog friendly and a lovely welcome pack too
There is so much to do in the area with outstanding beaches and coastal walking with one of the best beaches, Penbryn just down the road from the cottage
The farm shop and deli in the village is lovely too
We havent enjoyed a holiday so much in ages Thank you Joy

This was our first holiday away together with all 6 dogs, as you can imagine we were rather nervous about it. However, from the start, Joy was amazing with how she helped with everything and all of the info she provided us with, which reassured me that a holiday together was possible
The cottage is just absolutely perfect for a holiday away with multiple dogs, and the welcome treats for both hoomans and doggies was fantastic
Everything you need to cook and clean is provided which made life so much easier
The location of the cottage is perfect also, we went on walks right from the door, we even walked with all 6 dogs to the beach, where we met other fellow dog lovers, who were so lovely
We went on many adventures together, which included forest walks, a visit to the beautiful waterfalls, and we even discovered a secure dog field which had agility equipment to tire out the dogs
The log burner was amazing for the colder evenings, and the local shops sold big bags of wood which kept us all nice and snug as the sun went down each evening
We will definitely be returning in the near future because we love it so much
