There is a spacious car park (watch the potholes!)
There is a large board map on site, which shows you coloured routes (of various lengths) so you can choose which way to go. The routes have coloured markers throughout the woods to help you keep on track
If you park near the picnic tables, you can head straight down through the gap onto the path
Take a right and walk down towards the dens and head up the path taking a left.
At the top of this path you will see a man made chair from a tree stump
Head along the narrow path and follow round, after this you will turn right and then left again
The path is now a bit wider – follow it to where you cant walk any further, then take a left and then a right onto the lovely tree lined woodland area, This is absolutely stunning during autumn
Tthere are benches along here to sit and take in the beautiful scenery
At the end of this path, turn right onto another stunning tree lined path and follow it down the hill and past the meadow on your left
Carry on through the narrow path which takes you along the edge of fields. You can see (when you reach the end) that it branches out into fields
Take a right back into the woods and carry on along the path
Take a left, and then a right and you will be following along the side of fields again
Take a left and follow the path and turn next right all the way back to the car park
This route is around 4 miles in total which has lots of off lead opportunities, lots of photography opportunities for nature and wildlife. Remember in winter, it can get muddy so make sure you wear your wellies
There are no toilets on this walk.
