Animal Support Angels
I thought Id write a wee blog today about the fabulous work that Animal Support Angels do, having been introduced to it by my lovely local friend Harriet, who also works tirelessly for animals in need
I am donating my booking fee to Animal Support Angels for every booking that comes in (as long as you quote ‘Angels’ on your booking, so that I can do that)
What ASA Do
Animal Support Angels is a registered charity set up by Amanda Broome and run tirelessly to support animals in need. Founded in 2019 by Amanda,, the charity provides support to thousands of animals across the UK and beyond. Their community support projects range from controlling feral populations to rescuing and re homing abandoned animals.
They believe that animals enrich our lives: we also know that they cannot speak for themselves and need love and protection
ASA Mission – We Care
Welfare – The advancement of animal welfare to provide food, shelter, warmth, and interaction to relieve the suffering of animals
Education – Encourage the values of kindness and compassion towards all animals
Charity – We support small independent community-based charities that directly assist thousands of animals each year
Advice – We work hard to offer you on-going advice and be there when you need some support
Re-homing – Giving unwanted pets the best chance of finding a loving, happy home
Ease Suffering – Provide transport where necessary to sick or injured animals, getting them to a place of safety with a sanctuary or veterinarian
What They Do
Provide transport to sick or injured animals, getting them to a place of safety with a sanctuary or veterinarian
Provide transport for neutering or medical treatment in circumstances where people have no means of transporting animals themselves
Support small independent community-based charities that directly assist thousands of animals each year
Provide national and international support to rescues and individuals in need across the UK, and globally to Romania, Poland, Cyprus, Cape Verde, Gambia, Sri Lanka, and Hungary
ASA Values
To promote humane behaviour towards animals, in particular but not exclusively by:
Providing animal food, items related to animal welfare and practical help and support to charities and voluntary not for profit organisations which provide appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage
Educating the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.
Providing practical assistance directed to the promotion of animal welfare to pet owners
