Garden House, White Horse Common
Garden House is situated in a very rural position in the heart of White Horse Common. It is a half hour walk (or 7 min drive) to North Walsham market town (where you can find shops, supermarkets, dog friendly cafes and pubs) or a 35 min walk to Bacton Woods (ideal for offlead dog walking). The walking routes are via quiet lanes. Its only a 10 minute drive to local dog friendly beaches too
Garden House is a stunning, all on one level and very spacious cottage. There are no steps inside the property and hard flooring throughout.
The icing on the cake is the enormous and secure garden which equates to 2 acres which is securely fenced all around to a height of 4 feet. There is thick hedging behind the fencing to a height of 6 feet and the fencing is currently being upgraded to 6 feet high
The garden is mostly laid to lawn, with some shrubs and trees and viewing from all sides of the cottage. It’s like having your own personal dog paddock times 3!!!

Reactive Dog Guide
Garden House is a 3 STAR rated Reactive Friendly cottage. Here are the reasons why: Garden House is situated on a very rural quiet road, so there is little traffic noise. On entering the cottage driveway and securing the paddock, the huge garden is fully secure to a height of just under 5ft min but some areas 6 feet. There are neighbours to the rear and front of the property but it is extra quiet and the enormous size of the garden means there is very very little to react to. There is a shared driveway owned by the owner. You can also access the cottage from the courtyard. There is one neighbour to the far right top of the rear garden with a dog, but there is a fence between the two gardens and a screen. (It is double fenced and secure)

A lovely revisit to Garden House, we stayed earlier this year and had the best time, so we returned. The dogs loved the garden and made pals with the lovely neighbours.
We all enjoyed Mundesley, golf, fishing, Yarmouth, the Norfolk Broads.
Thank you for a lovely clean and comfortable stay, kids and dogs didn’t want to leave!
Thank you
Jo, Chris & Bertie –
What an absolute gem Garden House is. The garden was such a luxury; the dog loved having so much space to run around and we were lucky with the weather so myself and hubby enjoyed relaxing on a picnic mat under the shade of the trees with a good book. We didn’t have to worry about the dog getting up to mischief (making a break for it!) because of the secure fencing and the couple of neighbours we met were incredibly friendly and dog people themselves. Such comfortable beds, the welcome pack was really appreciated and Rob was incredibly friendly and helpful with ideas for local places to go. We went to Happisburgh beach and walked along to the Smallsticks cafe (dog friendly and yummy) and to Bacton Woods which are huge. We wanted to relax for the week and we certainly did that. Thank you Gail & Rob, this was our first Pack holiday but certainly won’t be our last.
Jo Chris and Bertie –
What an absolutely wonderful place to stay for some relaxation with an anxious dog. Bertie absolutely loved having the run of the garden and we could truly relax knowing he was safe and unlikely to meet anyone to cause him anxiety. We met Linda and Charles and Dougie next door who were lovely and Bertie adored them!
Thank you Rob for a wonderful stay, we will definitely hope to return next year!

We had fantastic weather. The garden was perfect for the dogs. We had long walks at Bacton, Happisburgh and Wells Next The Sea beaches. Found shaded walks at Bacton Woods, Felbrigg and Blickiing and saw the seals at Horsey
Enjoyed food at The Bucks Arms, Blickling but also eating alfresco on the patio for breakfast and dinner most days
Impressed by the beaches and that they are dog friendly even in the summer
Lynda, Chris, Andy, Lisa and Monty –
Had fantastic weather – spent time on the dog friendly beaches at Bacton and parts of Cromer, Great Yarmouth. Walked around the nearby National Trust properties at Blicking and Felbrigg, couldnt visit Horsey as it was closed this week, maybe next time.
Weather was hot and mostly sunny, so perfect to spend time in the fantastic garden with the dog free to run and chase his ball.
We will definitely be back again
Beaches with more facilities tend to be busier – Bacton beach is great for dogs, really quiet and no restrictions

Staying as two couples with 4 dogs we often need certain requirements – eg 2 bathrooms, large living spaces, plenty of room. Garden House fulfilled this and more – the interior space was ideal, perfect beds (very comfy), space enough to sit and relax both inside and out. The garden was well used by both dogs and humans and enjoyed, thanks to the Norfolk weather (a bit of rain but otherwise great).
We know the surrounding area well, but we found a couple of new places (one recommended from the book – Vernon Arms). The usual but essential trips – Blickling Estate walk and food at the Bucks Arms. (definitely recommended)
Rob was around but not intrusive and Im sure would have sorted any problems if he was needed. A great week and a lovely place.
Local walks around Weavers Way – Do the Blickling Estae walk and eat at the Bucks Arms (not cheap but very good). Vernon Arms was good (first time yere). Greyhound Inn is always good (great veggie Sunday lunch). Most of all enjoy the garden!
Kevin and Shirley –
The land area is great for dogs and people. If I had the money I would gladly buy if the price was right!
The bungalow is a good size for a family
A beautiful bungalow and extensive garden for all the enjoy. It took a little it of finding so do recommend WhatThreeWords as a held and accurate guide.
Rob has been very helpful and kind when a couple of jobs needed
The garden is completely secure and a paradise for the dogs.
We all found the beds to be super comfortable and having 2 bedrooms with ensuites as well as an extra shower room meant that no one had to wait. We will be back Im sure
Loads to see both locally and further afield, plus Chinese / Indian food takeaways and a good fish and chip shop.

I honestly cannot say WOW enough! The Garden House is stunning and when I pulled up I thought surely all that bungalow is not all mine, but it was! I have had the best week. The dogs have loved the beautiful and well kept garden. The long walks to Bacton Woods, I walked there and back, not ideal without pavements but was doable, runs in Sadlers Woods, I walked into North Walsham too with them and yesterday, 2 hours on Bacton Beach.
Absolutely loved every day. Rob the owner cannot do enough for you. I am back in August and I cannot wait. Next time with 2 more dogs, a daughter and 2 grandchildren. Thank you Rob for allowing me and my furbabies to stay in your beautiful property. See you again soon
Mike, Belinda and Maya –
Watching Maya paying in the lovely garden 🙂 Great walks in Bacton Woods. A lovely place to stay, thank you Rob

Lovely property in the quiet countryside but close to Bacton beach/woods & North Walsham.
Fabulous garden with plenty of room for the dogs to explore.
The accommodation is roomy & very comfortable with large beds & 3 shower rooms.

We will definitely be returning!

We stayed here for 7 days and it was amazing. The location and scenery was beautiful. The house was huge, especially the garden which was loved by our dog. This holiday with my family was 10s across the board – we couldn’t ask for anything better. It is so peaceful in this area of Norfolk. There is little to no noise in this part of Norfolk. On our first day, it took us a while to find this house but when we found it, it was worth it. Overall I highly recommend this house for your family and and dog 10/10 thanks for having us.
Do use the WhatThreeWords given – this aided us in finding this house..

Love all of Norfolk, we love it Take a look at HappisburghLighthouse pronounced “Haysbro”, don’t know why. Theres a lot of “Lokes” around: little streets and tight by ways. The roads to get everywhere are tight, some narrow but beautiful to drive. There are less pot-holes here than virtually every other county. Really enjoyed learning about the history of North Walsham. When the weather is nice, Norfolk is stunning: when it’s not, it’s very dramatic. The beaches are great. Bacton is well worth a walk. Great beach for dogs. Great garden for the hounds!
Rob is an amazing man so knowledgable.
Go to Holt: Fabulous town to visit. Cromer is great; but go on a dry day : We dined at The Recruiting Sergeant at Horstead which does fabulous meals, but not cheap You do get what you pay for.

Lisa and Andy, Nyx and Finn –
Fantastic holiday home. So great that the dogs are not restricted. We all really enjoyed the garden, but especially our young whippet. Chasing pigeons, squirrels, rabbits, roe deer was just so exciting! It has been a relaxing, revitalising week for us all. We had everything we needed in the house. Good shopping and eating out in places in North Walsham. Great dog walks to be had in Bacton Woods and of course, the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. Happisburgh is so dog friendly and really long beach runs for them.
We especially enjoyed the clean, quiet and comfortable house and really hope to visit here again
Thank you Rob for your welcome pack, your hospitality and for sharing this fabulous place
The walk along the canal up to Spa Common and back down Manor Road was very good. We had a very good lunch at The Lighthouse Inn, Walcott. Recommend an Indian takeaway from Labone, North Walsham

Just returned from an amazing week at Garden House! What an absolute treat – from the extremely comfortable beds, quality bedding and en suites to the fabulous garden and privacy this property offers, has made our holiday especially memorable. A*s all round. Everything you could possibly need has been catered for and Rob is such a wonderful host. It’s in a great location for access to the Broads, Norwich and local beaches. We will be back! Rob, thank you for sharing your beautiful home, a fantastic addition to Pack Holidays.

Garden House has been the best Pack Holiday we have been to. This place is sooo relaxing and seeing the dogs enjoy the large garden has been heartwarming. Sitting on the patio in the mornings has been the best start to each day!
This place is perfect!
Sit back and relax and enjoy
