What a beautiful property!  So comfortable and with everything we needed.  Our dog Ted relaxed immediately and loved having such a large garden to run around.  We enjoyed our daily beach visits to Bacton – perfect for dogs, or Sea Palling.  After a year of gathering dust, or National Trust cards allowed us to go to Felbrigg and the Blickling Estate – both highly recommended.  Thank you for such a wonderful staycation!!

3 Star ⭐⭐⭐

Tinker’s is situated in a very rural location.   The area is very quiet, with some nice quite country walks and bridle paths roundabout.   The garden is very secure with a 10 feet wall on one side, and fenced on two other sides.   The other side of the fence contains the owners garden and house, but they are not connected and there is plenty of space between the two.    The fencing is approximately 5-6 feet high.

There is a bridle path on the other side of the 10 feet solid wall, but given the rural and isolated location it is not a well travelled path (and nothing can be seen by reactive dogs).

The garden doesn’t look into another property and no other property overlooks Tinkers.

Access to the garden is via the kitchen door – Dogs can be supervised from the kitchen easily.

Parking is at the front of the property with access directly through the front door.  The parking area is secure once the outer gates are closed so dogs can be allowed to exit the car safely as long as you have closed the gates securely

Please note that as this is a very rural location, there may be on occasion, the slight possibility of hearing a bird scarer.  We have had no reports of bird scarers at any time in the past 3 years, but given the location (and the possibility of crop rotation) we cannot rule it out for future.

We have enjoyed another lovely relaxing week at your cottage – returning with our parents for our nephews wedding at Waxham Church and Barn.  Our parents loved the cottage and enjoyed relaxing / having a siesta in the conservatory  once again.  Paul and I loved our late night sessions relaxing in the hot tub

We just managed to get in four nights here – so glad we were able to find a space in the diary.  This is a lovely cottage, especially when you have a few dogs like us!   They have thoroughly enjoyed the garden and  the walks and we have all enjoyed the lovely villages and beaches, not forgetting the pubs along the way!  Thankfully, until today, we have been blessed with good weather.  Thank you for a lovely few days and a big thank you from our dogs

Tinker's Retreat, Worstead

We had a wonderful long weekend away at Tinker’s Retreat and the name certainly lived up to our hopes – what an amazing retreat it was! The house is set in beautiful, tranquil nature, we absolutely loved the peaceful atmosphere and really managed to unwind and take a step back from our hectic every day life. The house is very spacious, modern yet homely and equipped with everything you could possibly need in a home away from home. Our dogs loved the huge, private and fully enclosed garden while the humans of the party enjoyed the fabulous hot tub.
There is plenty to see and do, we enjoyed a couple of the sandy beaches around and also managed to squeeze a trip in to Norwich. Our only regret is that we couldnt stay longer or perhaps move in permanently 😉 Many thanks to the owner Emma who has made this one of our highlights this year, we very much hope to come back in the not too distant future!

4 Adults and a Dobermann. Loved it, clean, spacious, all mod cons, great owners. It’s lovely to see Dobermanns welcomed in Holiday Homes. She loved the garden and walks nearby. All in all a great time was had by all. Would love to go back -and see all the sewing machines close up! Thanks.

Tinker's Retreat, Worstead

Just had a brilliant week at Tinkers retreat. A spacious property for our family in a peaceful village meant for a relaxing holiday. The in laws loved the separate conservatory overlooking the garden where they could watch all the wildlife. Teenager and I loved the hot tub and made good use of it daily. Dogs loved the large, enclosed garden. Kitchen was really well equiped and the bonus of tvs in every bedroom meant we could all enjoy our own space too.
An excellent location for exploring the broads and the coast with North Walsham 5mins up the road for all conveniences like supermarkets and takeaways. Very friendly and helpful owners Emma and Alex were on hand for any little queries and helpful local knowledge yet completely unobstrusive.
Hope to return for another holiday in the future.

Spent the week at this lovely place with husband, 4 youngsters aged 21-25 and 2 dogs. Modern furnishings, clean and well equipped. Hot tub was a hit with all and dogs loved the garden which was large and secure. Luckily we had good weather so had 2 bbqs. Good base to explore Norfolk and walked some 30 miles during the week with dogs of course. Peaceful quiet and secluded spot. Thank you for wine and biscuits. May well return. Sherringham Park is well worth a visit and enjoyed crab sandwiches in Cromer at Cafe Main would recommend. Also the Station Smokehouse at Wroxham excellent. Thanks again Emma

Tinker's Retreat, Worstead

Myself and 16 others stayed here for a weekend at the end of April for a hen do. It was remarkable. Great location and the houses (Both the Old Vicarage and Tinkers Retreat) were phenomenal. It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed apart from food!! All saucepans, cutlery, glasses, tea and coffee, even bubble bath and towels were all provided. Both the indoor and outdoor hot tubs were a total hit and not to mention the sauna afterwards. Perfect all round and I would return in a heartbeat. Excellent value for money and a great great location.

Tinker's Retreat, Worstead

We go on about 6 UK holidays a year with our three dogs and I have to say, this is the best place we’ve stayed by far!
Fab location, amazing house, totally secure garden, need I go on…
We already booked for another three weeks before we left as was that good!
I really couldn’t fault the place.
If you want a luxury house that is perfectly placed for tranquility and beaches yet also close enough for shops, etc, then this is the place. Just please don’t let it be booked for the rest of my holidays next year!

Tinker's Retreat, Worstead

From the moment we arrived, we had a fabulous time at this place with a nice welcome tray of wine, biscuits, tea and coffee. We were a party of 6 adults and a month old baby, and can say we all totally loved the place, very spacious with a huge garden that our 2 dogs loved. The bubbling hot tub was a real treat that we all used, except baby, every night. Very quiet and tranquil location, but only a short drive to beaches and supermarkets. Emma and Alex, the owners were very helpful from time of booking to all through our stay, and we left after a week feeling very relaxed.Thank you for a great time, will be seeing you again.
