The Beach HutCromer, North Norfolk
The Beach Hut is situated in the heart of Cromer, just two minutes walk to the seafront and the town centre with its numerous attractions, shops, dog friendly cafes and pubs. With arguably the most famous pier in Norfolk, stunning sea views and quaint streets full of historic architecture, it really is the quintessential English seaside town.
The cottage is ideally located for hopping along the stunning coastline visiting the charming and unspoilt villages along the way. North Norfolk’s Area of Outstanding beauty (A.O.N.B) is all an easy drive away and you can explore the shoreline and heaths on foot along the Norfolk Coast Path. There are some lovely circular and coastal walks on the doorstep as well as several stunning National Trust properties with beautiful walks a short drive away.
Families will love a holiday in Cromer with amusements, playgrounds, crazy golf and even a zoo in close proximity. Or try your hand at catching crabs off the pier. www.enjoycromermore.co.uk is a great website to find out what’s going on in the town – there’s the 60’s Weekend, Crab & Lobster Festival, Cromer Hall open air music concerts, Cromer Carnival, New Years fireworks from the pier, to name just a few.
The historic city of Norwich is 23 miles away and can be reached by car or train in 45 mins, whilst Wroxham, the heart of the Norfolk Broads, is 30 minutes away. Head west along the coast and you will soon come to Sheringham (home of the North Norfolk steam railway), the beautiful market town of Holt (boutique shopping, crafts, antiques, cafes), Blakeney (boat trips to see the seals) and Holkham estate with its stunning hall and grounds, and a vast beach under endless skies.
There is parking on site but if you do not wish to bring your car there are bus and train stations within a 5 minute walk.

The Beach Hut is situated in Cabbell Road in Cromer, which, whilst very near to the centre of the town, is to the rear of a residential road and opposite other houses and a car park. The neighbourhood is quietly residential but can have a fair number of passers by during peak season.
The courtyard garden (no grass) has 8-9 feet fencing all the way around and has only very small gaps between them. The courtyard is accessible directly from the kitchen door and once the courtyard gate is closed (and can be locked) it is totally secure. There is a right of way passage through the courtyard, but it has not been used in 3 years.
As the cottage is in town, there are no risks of bird scarers and the coastal path does not run alongside the cottage. The courtyard does have flats to the rear which can see into the courtyard but only at a certain height.
Parking is at the front of the property with access directly through the courtyard gate The parking area is not fenced so please be aware of this.
There are nice quiet walks around the locality leading from the town. Please be aware there may be others using it too.

We’ve had a fantastic week at The Beach Hut, well worth the wait we had due to Covid. We’ve been blessed with good weather and spent many happy hours at East Runton beach with the dogs. On the one day the weather was terrible, we stocked up on Cromer Crab and made our own little seafood restaurant indoors. The cottage is absolutely stunning and the location perfect. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay (Also for the welcome pack!)
Thank you for our stay in this lovely cottage, you have thought of everything. Have enjoyed the welcome pack, the boys enjoyed their biscuits. Hope we can return again soon. Thank you
Many thanks to Lucy and Robert and Gail and all the team at Pack Holidays for our holiday. The Beach Hut is fantastic, so clean and so homely. Everything Cromer has to offer is within walking distance.. It seems like an age since our last break ad the Beach Hut was worth waiting for
So lucky to manage to come on our 2nd visit to The Beach Hut this year.
We had lots of lovely beach walks, visits to coffee shops, fish & chips & shopping trips round Cromer and Holt.
Also saw a seal on Cromer beach.
We love the location of this littleplace and we were delighted with all the Christmas decorations put up here.
Dear All, thank y ou for making our stay a brilliant one. Firstly the cleaning, second to none!! (2nd) the welcome pack, (3rd) so very dog friendly (4) superb location.
Thank you so much, will be sorty to leave, we hope you think we have left it as you would like, have wiped all surfaces, bath, sink etc, have hoovered and mopped floors. Can’t wait when we come back in May & October 2021.
Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone.
First time in Cromer and The Beach Hut, We have had and amazing week. Just what we needed after a turbulent and anxious year. Lots of Beach Walks, Sunrise and Sunset, Fish & Chips, seafood, and ice cream, ……… oh and crazy golf.
We visited Wroxham Barns to pumpkin pick and it was fab.
The Beach hut is beautiful and a really brilliant location. We will be back, after our visit to Snowdrip at Winterton 😀
We’ve loved our week at ‘The Beach Hut’, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean and in perfect location.
We’ve had nice days out at Holt & Sheringham (where we had what we thought our best fish and chips of the holiday at Dave’s fish bar). Our best recommendation is the ‘White Horse’ here in Cromer. We had a delicious Sunday roast with proper, homemade Yorkshire puds.
Thank you for the welcome pack, this is our 3rd stay in a ‘Pack Holidays’ accommodation, we think the standard really great.
Wow! We have thoroughly enjoyed staying at ‘The Beach Hut’. The accommodation was perfect, so well thought out and super clean. We felt immediately relaxed and appreciated all the oil diffusers and beautiful interior. The location was perfect for us; so near to everything but lovely and peaceful at the same time.
Food recommendations: Buttercups (Best Scones EVER), Hatters, Red Lion and Golden Fleece at Wells.
We will definitely be back as ‘The Beach Hut’ was perfect.
Brilliant location only a short stroll to the middle of Cromer for shops, pubs, cafes, pier etc. Fabulous to have a parking space. The house is really well equipped and we felt safe with all the Covid-19 protocols. Smashing weather and great walk along the coast at Sheringham NT property. The Red Lion was our favourite pub, but the White Horse is nearby and had a fantastic lasagne there on our first night.
Dogs loved the beaches and we loved Holkham (though gets busy)
All success for the rest of the season and beyond. Huge thanks
Wow! What a fabulous cottage! Gorgeous decor and absolutely everything you could need for a great holiday. So central too – so lovely to be able to walk to the beach for early morning walks.
We went to Sheringham Park and Felbrigg Hall – very close by and very recommended. Harry and Millie say thank you for the biscuits too. We can’t wait to come back again!!! xx
Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable week. The Beach Hut delivered to all our expectations and both our two dogs were very comfortable, with all the throws and doggie delights. Highlights of the week include the steam train ride to Holt and a lovely day in Wells Next The Sea and the vast selection of beers on tap at The Red Lion
We will recommend the property to all our friends. Many thanks.
What a gorgeous well-kept, well-thought out cottage. We appreciated the little details like the torches and dog towels, and the big touches like the roll-top bath and comfy beds.
Best walks – we loved along the beach to West Runton with lunch at Rocky Bottoms (amazing lobster!!) and found some lovely walks along Wells too. Would recommend the Wells Crab House for lunch.
Weather has been beautiful here and our stay, perfect for some R&R. We will be back!!
Had a really great time here in the Beach Hut in Cromer. We visited three National Trust properties, lovely walks for our dogs, had a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney Point. Dogs had a paddle on the beach, loved seeing the goats too.
Carnival week was a pleasure to be part of, lovely parade Wednesday evening and fireworks on Thursday too. We can recommend the local fish and chips plus the Bucket List for chips with your choice of topping.
Nice to find tea, coffee, milk and sugar plus all the extras you have provided.
Betty and Lizzie loved their biscuits
P.S. The flapjacks were delicious. Thank you.
Great accommodation – everything we needed. We had a great holiday, enjoyed Cromer and North Norfolk
What a beautiful cottage you have ! We absolutely loved our stay here. Perfect location and perfectly done out!! Your eye for interior design is fabulous! We had such a great time in Cromer, playing on the beach, crabbing, wandering around the town. We also loved the North Lodge Park with its beautiful sea front views. Lots of great places to eat too, we particularly liked the Ban Thai restaurant and the ice creams by the beach. We will definitely come again!!
A wonderful long weekend at The Beach Hut, a beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. No need to use the car once we were here. Great for the children who never once moaned they were bored. Great all round!!
Buster has enjoyed the long coastal walks, Felbrig Hall, sailing the Broads, tiding on the North Norfolk Railway on the steam trains and relaxing in the evenings back at the Beach Hut.
Overall a great holiday had by all and if like us you prefer the less rowdy pubs give the White Horse Inn a try, lovely food and friendly welcome.
Finally thank you for welcome goodies, we will definitely be back 🙂 x
We have had a fantastic time in North Norfolk and The Beach Hut has been the perfect base. We got a lovely welcome from Lucy and the apartment has had all we needed. The kids (4 and 2) especially loved crabbing on the pier. Blickling Hall, a seal trip with Beans and lots of beach time. Our favourite beach was Winterton on Sea where we built sandcastles, swam, played hide and seek in the dunes, ate crab sandwiches in the cafe and saw seals swimming in the sea.. Other favourites for lunch have been The Gunton Arms, Wiveton Hall Cafe, Rocky Bottoms and The Tipsy Vegan in Norwich.
During our stay we went to Beans Seals Trips in Blakeney Point with Argo and Gustavito who had great fun. We also visited Sheringham and took the steam railway. One of our favourites in Cromer has been the beautiful circular walk; we continued up to the lighthouse before heading back and it was worth it!! Some spectacular views at sunset.
We will be recommending you and The Beach Hut!!!
Finding somewhere to take 3 dogs is challenging and to find somewhere as fantastic as The Beach Hut is a real treat.
Suzy, Henley and Toby have had a wonderful time and we’ll be very sad to leave. Fantastic beach and so many dog friendly cafes and shops as well as the yummy cakes from Hatters. We have lost count of how many shops have offered the pooches cuddles and treats. Can’t wait to come back again!
Love Debbie, Suzy, Henley and Toby
P.S. Thanks from the gang for their scrummy cranberry biscuits
