Coastguard Cottage is all on one level so is ideal for guests who prefer no steps or have mobility issues.

It is wonderfully decorated, full of character and charm and with a fabulous seaside theme throughout. Our fabulous owners have put a great deal of thought and effort into restoring the cottage into a peaceful, relaxing and comfortable cottage to spend a fabulous holiday in.
It is ideal for a week long or short break….. right throughout the year and is a perfect place to explore Norfolk’s beach, Broad and country!
Coastguard Cottage is right in the hub of the beautiful seaside village, not even a minutes walk to the beach, with access to cafes, fish and chip shop, a pub, an amusement arcade, a local shop which sells practically everything(!) and a Post Office.

Take the opportunity to explore all along our Norfolk coast! Turn right on entry to the beach to walk along to Waxham and Horsey…..Great for seal-spotting! 2 Star ⭐⭐

Coastguard is situated next to the entrance to Sea Palling beach.  People do walk down Beach Road to the beach entrance (with dogs) but the risk of your dog seeing people and dogs is mitigated to a large degree by having a wall in front of the house which means looking out of the living room window might not elicit a huge reaction 😉

The garden is to the rear of the property and is very secure with solid fencing.  The area is grassed and whilst there is a garden on the left hand side of the fence, it can’t be seen and same can be said on the right hand side.  There is a house on the right hand side of the rear garden but the risk of being overlooked is reduced by having the fencing and the outhouse at the back of Coastguard Cottage.

There are some quieter walks nearby  – choosing to walk down Clink Lane and towards Eccles is a much less travelled route than the beach during peak times.  Out of season the traffic on the beach is very much reduced so much less risk of ”

What a lovely cottage with peace of mind over the secure garden and closeness to the beach which the dogs have really enjoyed.  We even managed to have a swim in the sea.

Lovely places to eat and dog friendly too.

Great accommodation with lovely rooms, had a lovely holiday with good weather.

Hope to be back in the not too distant future.

What a glorious and wonderful hidden gem is Coastguard Cottage.

We have stayed in various Pack Holiday cottages over the past few years and this is definitely ‘up there’, spotlessly clean, secure garden and very comfortable,   Extremely close to everything thats needed.

Would love to visit this place again.

Norfolk never disappoints.

What can you say that hasn’t been said already.  We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Coastguard Cottage.  We are very happy with the layout and no stairs to climb for our old dog Mishka.
Hopefully we have left it in good order on our departure so you can look favourable on our next request for a booking.  Thank you so much for allowing us the use for the week (can you do something about the weather 😉 )
All the best from
the Peterborough lot!!! x

Coastguard Cottage, Sea Palling

A very comfy & cosy cottage in a perfect location.  We’ve enjoyed our 4 night break here despite the bad weather.  Great to be able to walk straight to the beach and dunes from the house.  The dogs, Jazz & Pixie had a wonderful time too – lots of new sniffs for them and some very comfy sofas at the end of an exhausting day.  Due to a lot of places still being closed we’ve had most of our meals at the Greyhound at Hickling – thoroughly recommend – and excellent breakfast at the Dunes Cafe, Waxham.
