Testimonials

What a fantastic place to stay – we have all loved it – Great location for visiting places & fantastic local walks – we booked this place to get away from fireworks (Sheffield is terrible) we heard a few but nothing like at home – two chilled dogs 😀. Both the local pub, shop and butchers are great and if you fancy a curry the Oasis is amazing – look forward to staying again. Ps the cake was amazing!

This is our second stay at The Oaks and is perfect for us and our pack. We have booked to come next year to dodge the Halloween and bonfire night fireworks. The location is perfect, with local shops and a great butcher, also great walkies for the doggies. The weather has been amazing too. Thank you for a great holiday see you next year.

We’ve really felt at home here. The dog settled in right away. Such a cosy bungalow and the banana cake was delicious! We couldn’t work the tv, but Nicola came straight round and showed us how to do it. Ludham is a delightful village and everyone is so friendly. Locally we’ve eaten at the Kings Arms, the Dog and the Alfresco tea rooms – all highly recommended, dog friendly and we’ve been most welcome. We’ve not had the best week weather wise, but we’ve certainly enjoyed our holiday. It was a good job we came prepared with Macs and wellies. The Oaks has everything you could possibly need and we’ll be passing on the details to all our friends and family. It was quite a long way for us to come – but we’ll certainly be back! Many thanks to Gail and Pack Holidays and to Nicola & family.

Many thanks for the yummy banana cake and all the other welcoming items. Spacious, warm cottage with a great TV and fast internet. Weather has been up and down, but never mind. The dogs enjoyed our trip to Winterton, they love running on the funds followed by coffee and Norfolk shortcake (with cream of course) at The Dunes cafe. Do try the local butcher, the chicken, pork & cheese pies are wonderful. Many thanks to Gail and all at Pack Holidays.

Everything here too notch, all the cleaning materials, loo rolls etc. The owners have thought of everything to make it comfortable and dog friendly. Plenty of crockery and utensils for the humans as well. The outside shower with hot water and towels appreciated by our canine family. Fast Wi-Fi and bt box very useful. Had a wonderful stay, best dog friendly accommodation ever, especially the out door shower.

Visited lots of places as all new to us being from ‘up north’.   The weather was kind to us and we visited most of the broads and even hired a day boat which we loved.    Thanks for the beautiful cake and dog treats.    We will recommend you to anyone who asks and look forward to visiting again.

Thank you for letting us all stay for what has been a lovely holiday in a lovely cottage. We have explored lots of places during our stay and will definitely be back to norfolk again! The cottage had everything we could have wished for and love all the extra touches (we used the dog tags, dog towels etc), we even used the kitchen scales when making pancakes one evening! Thanks again!!

What a lovely well equipped, clean, spacious bungalow. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There is everything you need, the teenager enjoyed the wifi, the toddler and the cookbook enjoyed playing in the secure garden and the outside doggy shower was so handy. The extra little touches were a lovely surprise and the banana cake was yummy. We visited happisburgh beach which had a lovely playground and a really nice snack shack. Wintertime on Sea was another favourite and we loved seeing all the seals. There are plenty of lovely walks around the village. We would definitely love to come back. Thank you

Thank you for a lovely welcome of an amazing cake  🙂   We are only here for a weekend, sadly not with our dog this time but would love to come back and explore the beaches with him.

What a lovely doggy friendly property with a fully enclosed garden (a rare find).

PS For one of the best places to visit for a meal, please visit The Gunton Arms near Cromer, great place and amazing food.

Thank you for the brownies.  We had a last minute short break.   We really enjoyed the large accommodation and dog friendly/safe garden.   We had lunch at the Kings Arms on the day we arrived.  The food was lovely and we would go again.   The butchers in the village is also good quality and value for money.   The weather was kind, warm and sunny.

We enjoyed walking at Winterton on Sea across the dunes and back along the beach and we had drinks at the ‘hut’ before moving on. Two happy humans and two tired happy dogs.   What more could you ask for?   We had a lovely few days.   Thank you for all the extras provided – much appreciated.

Had a good meal at The Lion at Thurne (10 mins drive).   Enjoyed Sea Palling beach which was ideal for dog walking and only about 12 minutes drive.   Tesco near Stalham Staithe is really handy for petrol.

Many thanks

Lovely bungalow and lots of extras provided, dog towels, dog treats, brownies and even a week of beautiful sunshine, who’d have thought we’d be spending our week on wonderful wintertime beach.   Great to have a dog safe garden.   Thanks for a lovely break.

Fantastic accommodation, lovely touches including mince pies & homemade dog biscuits. Close to lovely beaches which are dog friendly. Dogs had some lovely runs at cart gap beach.

Lots of dog towels and throws supplied and even a dog crate was lent in case we needed one. One of the best dog friendly accommodations we have ever stayed at. Will definitely be booking again

The Andrews, The Oaks, Ludham

Honoured to be the first guests at The Oaks.   We had booked another property but received a phone call as we were driving down to Norfolk to say the boiler was broken.   The lovely owners of The Oaks weren’t expecting guests just yet, but pulled out all the stops to get things ready at the last minute.

We have had a wonderful week with our 5 sighthounds.  It is just a perfect property in a great location.   Huge thanks to Julian and Nicola for the last minute booking!  It has been great, our friends have already booked for next year and we’ll definitely be back.

P.S. The butcher shop in the village is ACE!!
