The Beach Hut is situated in the heart of Cromer, just two minutes walk to the seafront and the town centre with it’s numerous attractions, shops, dog friendly cafes and pubs. With arguably the most famous pier in Norfolk, stunning sea views and quaint streets full of historic architecture, it really is the quintessential English seaside town.
The cottage is ideally located for hopping along the stunning coastline visiting the charming and unspoilt villages along the way. North Norfolk’s Area of Outstanding beauty (A.O.N.B) is all an easy drive away and you can explore the shoreline and heaths on foot along the Norfolk Coast
Path. There are some lovely circular and coastal walks on the doorstep as well as several stunning National Trust properties with beautiful walks a short drive away.
Families will love a holiday in Cromer with amusements, playgrounds, crazy golf and even a zoo in close proximity. Or try your hand at catching crabs off the pier.
www.enjoycromermore.co.uk is a great website to find out what’s going on in the town – there’s the 60’s Weekend, Crab & Lobster Festival, Cromer Hall open air music concerts, Cromer Carnival, New Years fireworks from the pier, to name just a few.
The historic city of Norwich is 23 miles away and can be reached by car or train in 45 mins, whilst Wroxham, the heart of the Norfolk Broads, is 30 minutes away. Head west along the coast and you will soon come to Sheringham (home of the North Norfolk steam railway), the beautiful market town of Holt (boutique shopping, crafts, antiques, cafes), Blakeney (boat trips to see the seals) and Holkham estate with its stunning hall and grounds, and a vast beach under endless skies.
There is parking on site but if you do not wish to bring your car there are bus and train stations within a 5 minute walk.

Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable week. The Beach Hut delivered to all our expectations and both our two dogs were very comfortable, with all the throws and doggie delights. Highlights of the week include the steam train ride to Holt and a lovely day in Wells Next The Sea and the vast selection of beers on tap at The Red Lion
We will recommend the property to all our friends. Many thanks.
What a gorgeous well-kept, well-thought out cottage. We appreciated the little details like the torches and dog towels, and the big touches like the roll-top bath and comfy beds.
Best walks – we loved along the beach to West Runton with lunch at Rocky Bottoms (amazing lobster!!) and found some lovely walks along Wells too. Would recommend the Wells Crab House for lunch.
Weather has been beautiful here and our stay, perfect for some R&R. We will be back!!
Had a really great time here in the Beach Hut in Cromer. We visited three National Trust properties, lovely walks for our dogs, had a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney Point. Dogs had a paddle on the beach, loved seeing the goats too.
Carnival week was a pleasure to be part of, lovely parade Wednesday evening and fireworks on Thursday too. We can recommend the local fish and chips plus the Bucket List for chips with your choice of topping.
Nice to find tea, coffee, milk and sugar plus all the extras you have provided.
Betty and Lizzie loved their biscuits
P.S. The flapjacks were delicious. Thank you.
Great accommodation – everything we needed. We had a great holiday, enjoyed Cromer and North Norfolk
What a beautiful cottage you have ! We absolutely loved our stay here. Perfect location and perfectly done out!! Your eye for interior design is fabulous! We had such a great time in Cromer, playing on the beach, crabbing, wandering around the town. We also loved the North Lodge Park with its beautiful sea front views. Lots of great places to eat too, we particularly liked the Ban Thai restaurant and the ice creams by the beach. We will definitely come again!!
A wonderful long weekend at The Beach Hut, a beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. No need to use the car once we were here. Great for the children who never once moaned they were bored. Great all round!!
We have had a fab week in Cromer and the Beach Hut is a great base to explore from it is well equipt, clean and homely.
Buster has enjoyed the long coastal walks, Felbrig Hall, sailing the Broads, tiding on the North Norfolk Railway on the steam trains and relaxing in the evenings back at the Beach Hut.
Overall a great holiday had by all and if like us you prefer the less rowdy pubs give the White Horse Inn a try, lovely food and friendly welcome.
Finally thank you for welcome goodies, we will definitely be back 🙂 x
We have had a fantastic time in North Norfolk and The Beach Hut has been the perfect base. We got a lovely welcome from Lucy and the apartment has had all we needed. The kids (4 and 2) especially loved crabbing on the pier. Blickling Hall, a seal trip with Beans and lots of beach time. Our favourite beach was Winterton on Sea where we built sandcastles, swam, played hide and seek in the dunes, ate crab sandwiches in the cafe and saw seals swimming in the sea.. Other favourites for lunch have been The Gunton Arms, Wiveton Hall Cafe, Rocky Bottoms and The Tipsy Vegan in Norwich.
What a wonderful stay! We were very impressed by the attention to every detail and it made it a really 5 * experience. We loved the book full of recommendations and all the other little perks. A big well done for all the work put into it!!
During our stay we went to Beans Seals Trips in Blakeney Point with Argo and Gustavito who had great fun. We also visited Sheringham and took the steam railway. One of our favourites in Cromer has been the beautiful circular walk; we continued up to the lighthouse before heading back and it was worth it!! Some spectacular views at sunset.
We will be recommending you and The Beach Hut!!!
Wow! What a fabulous cottage! Gorgeous decor and absolutely everything you could need for a great holiday. So central too – so lovely to be able to walk to the beach for early morning walks.
We went to Sheringham Park and Felbrigg Hall – very close by and very recommended. Harry and Millie say thank you for the biscuits too. We can’t wait to come back again!!! xx
A big thank you to Gail, Lucy and Robert for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. So much attention to detail including the wonderful welcoming strawberries.
Finding somewhere to take 3 dogs is challenging and to find somewhere as fantastic as The Beach Hut is a real treat.
Suzy, Henley and Toby have had a wonderful time and we’ll be very sad to leave. Fantastic beach and so many dog friendly cafes and shops as well as the yummy cakes from Hatters. We have lost count of how many shops have offered the pooches cuddles and treats. Can’t wait to come back again!
Love Debbie, Suzy, Henley and Toby
P.S. Thanks from the gang for their scrummy cranberry biscuits
A very comfortable and well equipped cottage in a great location. We have all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday including our greyhound, Kimmie and our Springador, Poppy. Thank you very much, we will all be recommending you.
