Tor View is a traditional stone built studio cottage nestled in the heart of Dartmoor. This location is perfect for us dog owners, with miles of countryside to explore. Its a short journey to both coasts, there are a number of dog friendly beaches and the Dartmoor National Park right on your doorstep!
The studio enjoys plenty of natural light through the large rear doors but equally offers total privacy with floor to ceiling blinds. You can cozy up in the lounge after a days training or walking on the moors and enjoy the sumptuous underfloor heating – perfect for those cooler nights!
Walk straight out onto your very own private courtyard garden, which leads to the recently landscaped large turfed garden and view of the tranquil countryside surroundings including the infamous Devon Moors.
The garden is also screened making it perfect for more anxious/reactive (naughty but nice) dogs. Make use of the herb gardens and in the mornings enjoy beautiful sunsets that will take your breath away.
After dark you are likely to hear the local barn owls whilst enjoying the moon in the night sky as the stars twinkle overhead. You won’t believe just how many stars fill the sky until you see the Devon night sky – the moon almost seems bigger! It’s a spectacle not to be missed on a clear night.
For walks we are just two minutes away from the moors, the reservoir and the bluebells.

Tor View is a 2 Star (very much leading up to a three star) - there is one cottage nearby. The fencing is minimum 4 feet all around

Location & Directions
Arrival At Tor View
Pull your car into the gravel driveway at Tor View (parking for one car) and enter the garden via the paddock gate (meshed to a height of 3 feet for security)
Once inside the garden the dogs are secure to a height of lowest 4 feet. There is a gated courtyard and a fully enclosed fenced garden.
The accommodation is all on one level and open plan studio arrangement.
The kitchen area has an electric cooker and hob, microwave and plenty of storage space
In the open plan living area there is a table for formal dining (perfect for two) a comfortable sofa and a double bed
There is a wetroom with electric shower.
Views from the cottage are stunning, at whatever time of year you want to visit
Garden
Once inside the garden, the dogs are secure to a height of 4 feet. There is a patio area (with two outside seats) and a grassed area for dogs to play on and wonderful walks from the door
All guests of Tor View and Dartmoor Inn have the use of our brand new fully enclosed Naughty But Nice Sand Arena for training their dogs.
