Lavender Cottage’s fabulous location means you can explore the best of Suffolk’s coast and countryside. Thorpeness, with its enchanting Meare and quirky house in the clouds, is just a short drive away. Aldeburgh, renowned for its vibrant arts scene, shingle beach, and world-famous fish and chips, is also nearby. Leiston offers a glimpse into the region’s industrial heritage with its Long Shop Museum and the scenic ruins of Leiston Abbey.

There is a common opposite the cottage, and its a fabulous rural setting with walks from the front door.

If you are coming from Leiston and you enter the village of Knodishall, you will see the Butchers Arms pub on the right hand side. Post Office Road is the next turning on the right. Your parking spaces are the two farthest spaces on the grass, marked up as No.1.

When You Arrive

Turn in to Post Office Road and you will see a very quaint row of cottages, facing the village green, with parking, pretty gardens and a gorgeous outlook.

You enter the house via the

Lounge

The lounge area is light and bright, full of charm, and with stairs leading off. A nautical coastal charm throughout, with added touches such as rope handles, brass fittings and country green decor.

Kitchen

The kitchen is newly installed in coastal blue tones, with tiled flooring, plenty of cupboard and counter work space, large aspect window overlooking the garden and patio area, and access to the family bathroom. DAB radio, coffee machine, toaster and full height fridge freezer.

Newly installed, featuring a large walk in shower, bath with shower-over, basin and WC.

Bedroom One 

Master bedroom with double bed, stunning bespoke wallpaper and matching linens, wooden unit, full length mirror, and hanging space.

Bedroom Two

Second small double room, with hanging space, bedside tables and a seaside theme, again with bespoke blinds and decor.

Outside

There is a small, newly laid, patio and garden area, with outdoor dining set offering complete privacy and very good security for dogs and kids. Ambient lighting, railway sleepers, and shrubs, all add to the pleasantness of the little sun trap retreat.

There is also a small courtyard garden to the front, with bistro garden set. Another area to watch the world go by and listen to the bird song.
