Lovely place to stay and perfect for our blind dog Layla, we could leave her to explore the house and gardens without having to worry about her. Out for lunch everyday. Our favourites for food were Watson’s and the Star Inn at Lessingham. Of course we all had great fun on the brilliant beaches and loved exploring Bacton Woods too. Even the weather was perfect and the sun shone to make it perfect week. Would definitely return, even in the rain.

  6. Martin, Jo, Pete, Jan & 2 dogs

A fabulous stay in a really great cottage. Everything we needed. Best of all, perfectly safe for the dogs,

Bacton beach great for dogs, hardly any people, can do a long walk. Went to Wells, really lovely, dogs allowed part of the beach and in the pine woods,

Saw lots of seals at Horsey, walked from Horsey windpump to the bech and saw hundreds of them. Visited Blicking Hall, lovely parkland but no dogs in garden area.

Best eating places, Watson’s Cafe at Bacton, great cakes and coffee, Wells Deli, good toasties. Best of all Lighthouse Inn, great food, very welcoming to all 5⭐ all round All of these are dog friendly.

A lovely week in this beautiful Cottage with its fab garden. We have loved the peace and quiet at this cottage. The location is perfect. We have visited this area of Norfolk a few times and always have an enjoyable break here.

We didn’t visit a lot of places this time, The dogs love the beach so we have mostly been to Cart Gap and Happisburgh, the Small Sticks Cafe is fab at Cart Gap, sandwiches, salad and cakes are amazing, We also visited Bacton woods, lovely walks there kept the dogs on leads there as muddy in some areas. We would love to come back here, hopefully very soon x

  8. The Kents

We have had a lovely holiday here at Greenwood Barn. Fabulous accommodation. Clean, comfortable and very dog friendly. Our dogs loved the garden and being able to move freely inside and out – they settled in almost immediately! Although the weather has been rather windy, the garden provided a sheltered sun trap most days. We visited Mundesley (great beach for children) Bacton Woods, (Well worth a walk). Fish and Chips great from The Kingfisher fish bar! Look out for the wonderful display from the bats at dusk!!

  9. The Mills

Perfect accommodation for dogs and anyone with mobility problems. Safe garden and plenty of space in the kitchen and lounge. 15 mins to walk to Walcott Gap, lovely sandy beach which the dogs loved. 15 mins drive to Bacton Woods and Pigney Woods, both excellent for dogs with plenty of shade.

Waxham and Waxham Barns Cafe, a great little find for coffee and a light lunch. Kingfisher Fish and Chips always good. Sheringham 40 mins away, great walks, £6.50 to park the car all day and take a picnic. Did not both with Holkham or Sandringham this year due to the heat.

Waitrose is good at North Walsham and Tesco in Stalham, our only issue was flies due to the heat and a parasol would have been useful as the patio is a sun trap.

One of the best equipped places we have stayed in Norfolk and would come back. Great place

  10. Helen and Paul and Sammy

A lovely, relaxing and secluded cottage. The magnificent beach walks were soothing in the circumstances of the Queens death and personal bereavement. The welcome pack was great, Sammy loved the dog biscuits. Thank you.

  11. The Downs and Cluedo

We have had a fabulous week here at Greenwood Barn. The weather has been excellent so visited the beach every day. Walcott and Happisburgh for one day. Sand lovely, beaches clean, sea warm once in. Eaten out at The Ship Inn, The Swan Inn, The Lighthouse Inn, Vernon Arms – All recommended, friendly staff, all dog friendly and excellent food. Chinese takeaway from the Oriental Gardens in Bacton. Lovely food.

Would definitely recommend Pack Holidays and Greenwood Barn to dog owner friends. Everything for the dog catered for, towels etc and used the dog shower outside every day after visiting the beach. Cluedo needed a vet visit due to grass seeds in his ear. Took him to Westover Vets at North Walsham, dealt with quickly and no problems. Sainsbury and Tesco nearby for food shopping and fuel.

Welcome pack was lovely especially first cuppa after a long drive, Cluedo loved the dog biscuits. The garden is a lovely sun trap, we closed the curtains while out during the day. Loved watching the bats at night and will miss the cockerel alarm clock in the morning. Excellent choice of games in the cabinet, played a few in the evenings.

  12. Carmel Phil and Peggy

Glorious, spotless, well-equipped holiday cottage, and a wonderful week spent in this beautiful barn. Peggy loved the garden, with room to chase about and occasionally growl at the piggies! Lots of lovely long walks on endless beaches and there were so many to choose from. Spent a day in Norwich which was lovely, visited Wells-Next-The-Sea and Cromer. Stunning beaches at Happisburgh and Bacton. The barn is a gem of a place, lovely peaceful spot. Has everything you need for a lovely relaxing holiday. Don’t want to leave. Thank you

  13. Rick + Chris

Back at my “special place”, love this place + so do the 8 “kids” . Everything we needed was there, vehicle broke down + in the garage for 2 days but what a place to be stranded! lovely walks to the beach. So not looking forward to leaving tomorrow but back soon!

    Thank you Pack Holidays (Gail)!

  14. Clare and Ian, Andrew and Maureen

  15. Matt, Michaela, Maxi and Ozzy

We booked a last minute week away to escape house renovations and now we dont want to go back home! Beautiful property in a lovely location with plenty of space for our two collies to relax Hope to come back again soon!

  16. Claire, Rich, Gertie, Eve and Obe xx

Thank you for the incredibly thoughtful welcome basket. What an idyllic and perfect week. Thank you Hayley for allowing us to stay in the wonderful Greenwood Barn and to Gail for organising everything from the minute we booked!! It is so amazingly peaceful and we loved hearing / seeing the neighbouring pigs / horses / donkeys / rooster. Weather couldnt have been more perfect and viewing the stars from the garden was truly breathtaking! Bacton Woods was a stunning walk to take our 3 furry kids on, as well as Bacton Beach. Both being so close was even more reason to love Greenwood Barn!!! For anyone reading this, the 30 minute drive to Horsey Beach to see the seals was the incredible highlight of our week – a must-see if you are able to. Thank you for a perfect vacation!!

  17. Colin, Tracy, Danielle and doggies Bentley, Zena and Lincoln

What a beautiful, spotlessly clean gem of a home. We can honestly say we have never been more reluctant to end a holiday and to happily stay for longer.
Everything is well thought of, layout of the barn is perfect. The location for walks along the beaches, through the woods and to sightsee is perfect.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home

  18. Claire smith

We had a fabulous time with our dogs at Greenwood Barn, June 2023. Fabulous location, and the barn was really clean with a great layout….all conducive to happy humans and happy dogs!
We loved hearing the pigs snaffling about, and only ever heard the cockerel during the day…never at silly o’clock in the morning!
We know the area quite well, but this was one of our favourite stays….our first time with Pack Holidays, who we would definitely book through again. Communication with Gail was excellent, and wouldn’t have doubted for a minute that she would have swiftly dealt with any issues….but there weren’t any!
Loved Bacton Woods and so many beaches to pootle about on…..love how quiet they are, not too many humans. Perfect.
Thanks again….loved the barn, and loved dealing with Pack Holidays.

  19. Lisa and Lee

How lovely! Very spacious, clean, lovely location and you provide everything! We had a lovely family meal at The Poachers Pocket in Walcott, so friendly and the food is fabulous. Won’t hesitate to book again! Thank you so much!

  20. Adrian, Zoe, Ivar, Freya, Dash, Inga, Boop, Evi and Frank

On arrival we found the place amazingly well stocked with everything you could need.
Beds were comfortable and loved that each room was ensuite. The beach is only 10 mins walk away which was brilliant, with the Poachers Pocket to quench your thirst.
Will definitely look at booking here again. We have had a great time here
The dogs have loved the garden and the multitude of different animal noises from next door
This place is by far the best Pack Holiday location we have stayed so far
